Default Caesar's Indiana

I stopped in for a brief look on my way back from Nashville. The games were mostly 6 deck, with a few 2 deck ones. All had the usual 3:2 blackjack. Low end tables had $10 minimums.

The six deck games were S17, DOA, Splitting of aces allowed once, no surrender.

I don't remember all the differences for the two-deck games, but I believe you could only split after 10 or 11. Overall the rules were much more restricitive.

I do have one question: do you have to simply watch the games for a while and look at the proportion of the deck being used in order to determine penetration? I asked one of the dealers what it was, and he had no idea!

Yes, determine penetration by observation, not by asking. Penetration is something that only card counters are concerned with. Meaning if you do find a dealer that knows what penetration is, you've just identified yourself as a card counter.

Default Was there once

Just like you, passing near by, thought I would check it out. I agree they are are kinda tight with the rules on table bj. Did ok, but did not play long enough to get a real feel. I have a couple friends go there several times a year and play TEN to FIFTEEN hours a day each. Friends wife has hit several $1000.00 plus jackpots on slots. Friend plays BJ has cashed out $500.00 several times on $200.00 buy in, and once chased out over $1000.00, he is a very good player. They say rooms and food are always comp but they put alot of money in the machines and on the table. Only complant they have is the long walk from the hotel to the casino.
Back to the rules, I have also played at Grand Victoria a couple hours north, near Cincinnati, and for the most part on B J they play Vegas rules. Down side to them is they are not much on comp's for table players. Parking is great and hotel is nice, service is good. Grand does have some surley pit people but dealers for most part are very nice and helpful to new players.
