Unfortunately, there is no single “Blackjack Bible” that will teach you everything you need to know. Different books cover different counting systems and techniques. In fact, much of what you need to learn is not written in any book and will need to be learned through experience. However, here is a list or authors to get you started. Be aware that many of these authors have published several books.

Backcounting
Stanford Wong
Don Schlesinger
Ken Uston

Card Counting (Balanced systems)
Stanford Wong
Ken Uston
Lance Humble
Bryce Carlson

Card Counting (Unbalanced systems)
Arnold Snyder
Olaf Vancura
George C.

Camouflage
Ian Anderson
Ken Uston
Don Schlesinger

Bet Sizing / ROR
Don Schlesinger
Ken Uston

“Alternative” Techniques
Arnold Snyder
David McDowell
Rick Blaine
George C.
Mason Malmuth
Ken Uston
John May
Sonny's "Imbecile" series

Team Play
Ken Uston
Rick Blaine

Math / Theory
Carlson Chambliss
Edward Packell
Peter Griffin
Ed Thorp
Richard A. Epstein

Those will give you a basic understanding of the game. The rest is up to you. :D

P.S. - Also see ZG's list of free BJ resources at the top of this forum.

Check out Olaf Vancura's Knock-Out Blackjack. It will give you a good introduction to using unbalanced counting systems. From there you will understand how to switch to the unbalanced Zen count. Many people on this website also use unbalanced systems so you can always get lots of help here too.

The list of free BJ resources will also give you a good introduction to card counting in general.
