Default Northwest Indiana casino reports millions in blackjack "losses"

The headline is pretty misleading, since the H*rseshoe Hammond still won $100,000 in the month at blackjack. They claim the expected win was $4M.

I hope some of you guys are hurting the numbers at the Evil Empire!

Here's the story:

Default Action?

I'd guess that "7 million" hands were not dealt and the decrease is more a result of far less play than anything else.

Default Decline

I think it is due to summer travel by some people that really enjoy BJ and were coming through the area, hitting the many tourist spots

I would attribute the "losses" to variance.

Lightbulb Slow games!

I think they are beating themselves. Frequent shuffles due to poor pen, only 5 spots per table, and cash transactions almost every single round = low profits. This place is a comp hustler's dream! I swear every time you blink, a civilian is throwing low denomination bills on the table, like ones and fives, slowing the game severly. I watched a guy recently throw $47 on the table, and the largest bill was a five.
