Good point about that place. Its still the only casino I know where some of the dealer still calls out a player surrender They've gotten less stupid about it lately kind of. And they consider surrendering an AP move.

I found a fair few places in Vegas do this. Yes, they do consider surrender an AP (or at least knowledgeable) move.

Even though most in the masses don't follow them, surrender instructions are on basic strategy cards.

Probably some old crusty AC guy thought late surrender was the same thing as the old "Early Surrender" that was required in AC in the early days. They shouldlet you surrender, if they don't go directly to the PA gaming desk and they will tell the casino they have to let you surrender. (and possibly refund your money if you lost the hand).
