How to calculate "Pivot Point" / "Key Count" for unbalanced systems

anyone know how this is done? I would greatly appreciate the formula and/or instructions.

I suppose it would depend what system you are using. As for knockout where 2-7 is +1 and 10's and A's are -1; there will be an average of +4 per deck due to the unbalanced nature.

in 6deck, they key count is 16 and the pivot point is 24. I believe the pivot point is always the number of decks multiplied by whatever one deck will count to. (in this case +4, so that's why they pivot point is 24)

these numbers are based on an Initial running count of 0, and i'd recommend double checking it because I lost my KO book and am just now getting back into counting
