Craps payoff question

I've recently started playing some craps for cover and diversion and noticed what appears to be an unusual payout schedule at an Indian casino. The "how to play" instruction on their website indicates that instead of 6:5, 3:2, and 2:1, the payout is 6:5, 7:5, and 9:5. Everything I've read and encountered uses the first schedule which follows the correct odds for the various points. My question is whether there is some degree of variation in the payoff for line and come bets between casinos, particularly on sovereign property?

Casinos can set the payouts for games to what they want. Looks like the one you go to are likes paying people short.

Wow, I've never heard of a casino shortpaying on the odds bet before. Try to bet the don't and lay heavy odds at 7-5 and 9-5.

Looking at this post again, I think you have a fairly normal paytable. I assume you are talking about the place bets for those odds. I am not really familiar with the payouts of craps, which is why I gave that hasty answer. http://wizardofodds.com/craps. Still somewhat different, but not as I originally thought.

It seems to me that they have concocted a hybrid payoff between odds payouts and place bet payouts which is a big ripoff. The 6/8 payoff is the only one right, the place bet payoff would be 7:6 You should ask them what they pay on all the place bets. That should be even a bigger rip.

Since the BJ game at this joint is on the back side of marginal, there doesn't seem to be a reason to even go there. They recently "improved" 6D penetration from 2 decks remaining to 1.5, but with no LS, it was still weak. So I thought with a good craps game it might be worth checking out. Not so it appears. I'll give them points for putting their playing conditions on their website.

Nothing like advertising *****y rules...pretty horrendous change in rules there. I hope they aren't calling them "Free Odds"

I'm with Guynoire on this one: who the heck else has the stones to put a house edge on the Odds bet?
