what is it with you guys hating on IP so hard. Do you really go to Vegas to sit around in your hotel and enjoy the amenities of your room all day? When i was in Vegas, i left my hotel room around 9am and wouldnt return to it until 1am or later. As long as the room is clean its fine with me. Im so tired after a whole day up and down the strip i could care less how nice the rooms is, comfortable the bed is, etc. The location alone is worth $20 a night.

If your bringing a significant other, now thats a different story and i cant fault you for refusing to stay there :cool2:.

I haven't stayed at the IP for about 20 years. As I recall, they had the smallest rooms I ever had since staying at the Plaza in NYC. At least you did have enough room to lie down at night. It was old and run down then; I can't imagine how it would be now. I also remember a Chinese Buffet, and a wild-eyed Serb who was yelling terrible things about Croats in the dining room.:whip:

Just remember the source. some folks here think if you are not spreading 1-16 and using 234 indices, you are wasting your time.

20 Bucks

I'd rather spend a few more dollars at a place with better food options than whats available at I.P. Does the I.P. even have in room safes? Or high speed in room internet?

Good point Shadroch ! (I will take anything pos at this point) Seriously though if they are anything like what they show on website it will work for us. Not gonna be in the room more than 4-5 hrs a day inc sleep. Clean safe works for me.

If I was caught up in room, a suite or whatever at MGM would be more in line...

The rooms are nothing special. Hotel is nothing special. I assume that it once was a few different properties as it is a maze to get around the various towers, and there seem to be too few elevators. Food quality is all over the place. Burger place is pretty good. Hash House a GoGo is legendary. Pizza Place is pretty good, but the buffets are toxic. The afternoon show is fantastic, as is the Motown Revue show Human Nature.
One weird thing is their Love Tub rooms. These feature an oversized bedroom
with a large round tub right smack in the middle of the room. Not a jacuzzi, just a large round tub- straight out of the 1960s.
For $20 a nite, its a good bargin.

I have actually stayed in a "Love Tub" room and it's pretty funny - Shad got it right on.

I am not hating on the IP for the fun of it... it seriously is not a place I would ever stay again. I believe you can get a much better hotel experience for around the same price or slightly higher. The two casinos that I always get free rooms from are the IP and the Flamingo, and IMO the Flamingo is much, much better.

BUT on the pro side for the IP - The pool is decent, the dealers were always friendly, they have pretty fun karaoke on the second level, and it's in a good location.

P.S. No Safes in the rooms
