Heading to Vegas finally. All the stars and constellations have aligned for me!

We are staying at Southe Pointe got a room for $42. I have never been there before. If the casino isn't good we will have our car so we can drive to the strip.

Been practicing tons on Basic strategy and card counting. I'll have fun and hopefully win a little money. I am a low roller for sure.

Cathy
If you are staying at South Point and have a car, rather than driving north to the strip, drive further south on Las Vegas Blvd to M resort. It is a straight shot down LVB just about 3 miles. You can see it from south point. Looks almost close enough to walk, but LVB has no sidewalks down that way and it actually is a little further than it looks. (I walked it once and rode bicycle several times) Anyway, M has one of the better games for $5 players in vegas and usually is not too crowded.

Good luck and have fun. Be sure and ask for the funbook when you check into southpoint. Has a couple good coupons. Also M has a $5 free play sign up bonus. :)

What's the point? Just so you can say you were backed off at a place? The amount of time you'd spend getting there and back, you could use playing at a closer property and do just as well

It would be kind of fun to get bumped out of the EC since it's well known for backing players off. Besides at the EC they have a good game from what I hear. If I go in there at all it's a matter of time before I get the boot.

Is the MGM this sweaty?

Got what I assume was some sweat at the MGM. Was betting between $10 to $25 and started to get the stare from the PB. I could also tell since he was very friendly in the beginning, that is until I won lots within 45 mins. Kind of got the message so I left. As I was leaving another player said to me "So did you win much yesterday?" I said "No." He said "Well I guess it doesn't work all the time ......... card counting." I just laughed. Anyways I walked around a little bit trying to find the cashier so I asked the same PB. He just turned around and said a little gruffly "It's over there." I said thanks and cashed out.

Has anyone else had this same experience at the MGM? Or could it have just been that PB?

BTW I was playing at the Trop when I was getting the stares from the PC.

$10 to $25 was your spread at MGM? And they were hawking you, and calling you a card counter??? Truly pathetic. But, I'll tell you that it doesn't surprise me at MGM. That's usually why I'll go 'balls out' there...

So the MGM is sweatier than most?

I assume you were playing the S17 6D games. Those games have one PB for two tables. That ratio only happens at Wynn, Venetian, and MGM. If they have that many PB, they are giving off the 'smell' that they are paranoid about APers. This doesn't mean that the PB know what they're doing, and nor does the EITS. Take my words FWIW.

No I was playing the H17. And the PB had control over about 6 tables.

Then that is just truly sad that he even commented. He truly 'backed you off' with paranoia. I wouldn't have given two shits about the PB with that shitty spread (sorry, but that is just shitty). Just to give you some idea, at places I play at less often, I will go from 1 to 2x12 at DD. And that's not red-chip play. But, I won't play more than 45 min. This works especially well at places where you need to double the minimum to play 2 hands. No cover. Catch me if you can.

I've had plenty of PB mention card counting, but I just shrug it off. It's the EITS that gets you anyway. And MGM will NEVER EVER kick out a $10-25 spread player, especially at a 6D-8D game.....they would be total dumbasses to even consider it, considering you're maybe playing a breakeven game at most.

I would love to hear a PB call the EITS about your game. "Yeah, I got a guy spreading 10-25, I think you should take a look." "Spreading 10-25 dimes?" "No, 10-25 dollars." *CLICK*

Just a theory of mine, but if you actually stay at the El cortez you are less likely to get the boot (from the games).

I stayed there for 2 weeks in one of their rooms (not tower or cabana) and must of played about 30 sessions- all red chipping.

I was ridiculously obvious in my betting though and the most they did was shuffle up a few times on me, and a few scowls from the pit ( a black geezer who reminded me of Denzel washington and a asian lady who never smiled).

They also used to have this competition, where every time the dealer got BJ, you would get a raffle ticket, to get drawn later in the week (top prize $500)

I won it but boy did I get some dirty looks from some of the regs. One of the guys must of had 50% of all the tickets by himself, non-stop playing (I saw him on most shifts :) ) and he did`nt even place

I`m sure he was thinking- these goddamn tourists.............

The black PB (George) empties my ashtray like clockwork and that asian lady has actually smiled at me once or twice. I do stay there when in town. And I win. But I'm just a low roller who rarely bets over $100 - $150.

Happy to hear your smoking needs are being taken care of so efficiently.
