Caesar's Louisville: DD game $25 min, pen was better for me, 50%+ but still not great. There are also $25 6D games in the "high roller" area, but I will only play $10-$15 6D games as I like to spread at least 1-10 on those. There are plenty of 8D shoes, but they are H17. The saving grace was lazy shuffles: split decks in half, shuffle together, cut, play. Plugs intact, should be exploitable. The S17 6D game was better but pricey. CBJN reports about 75% pen for the 8D, and a little worse on the 6D. DD game would not allow me to split into two hands mid-shoe, and requires min x 2 for two hands. $125 bet on DD game drew "checks play" call to PB, basically these folks are a bunch of tightasses but at least I got lucky and took them for a grand. Decent sports/bar restaurant were you can seat yourself at the counter and get quick service.
Belterra: way out in the middle of nowhere, only been there once. Was strictly playing red chip at the time, and saw only 6D $15 games open. CBJN reports bad penetration across the board and lots of restrictions on splitting to two hands and replits of pairs. I don't think I will ever go to this place again, Argosy Cinci is a better option. Grand Victoria is also worth considering but it is a small place. I've played there for hours too without a single positive count, are they cheating somehow?
