anyone been to viejas casino or barona?

I would say barona has better games. If you play green chips or black you will be very happy with their games. They have sd and dd with great rules check out Blackjackclassroom.com and good luck

..err .. yeah.. but the rules/variants of the game aren't always in the favor of the AP... but Barona is a great place for DD and SD as previously stated..

Good rules, decent penetration and lots of tables. Nice amenities as well. Enjoy your trip!

The reason why i brought up the website is because the first thread asked about casinos in san diego. This site offers FREE info on casinos in socal, norcal, and las vegas. The info may not be perfect and current but it does give you an idea of what casinos offer in these areas. Since i do hit the casinos in socal this was the first site that gave me ideas of where to go.

This is not a sales pitch why pay someone and give them your bankroll for info that you can get for free from reading books and asking questions on this site.

Amen brother :)

Ok i live in the san bernardino area and only know of 1 casino. San Manuel. I been there, they always have 2 tables of 5$ bj with a 6-8 deck shoe i forget but i want to say 6. Then they have all those dam CSM. The 5$ tables are always full of bad ploppies.

Is there anywere near my area that has sd and DD bj for 5$ minimum? I know this is probably a no, but everyone says these are the best games to play, so i wana see if i can find them.

First of all i would suggest staying away from san manuel unless you can play on the $25 min table and wong in and out of them. The casino is big enough where you can do that and get away with it with little or no heat.

Also there is a nice DD game at spotlight 29 past palm springs if your willing to make the drive. In the early morning nobody is there and the table should be $5 min. I was there last week and the DD at night was $15min. They usually give you nice pen when i play about 70%. If your playing heads up you might be able to get a little better just depends on the dealer.

Stay away from Single decks out there they are horrible and i mean HORRIBLE.

There are 6d games out there with $5min it is pretty much the norm just stay away from morongo.

yea i use to go to morongo when i was 18 hahaha that is such a bad casino for BJ lolololol poker room is sick tho.very low limits and ow buy ins. 20$ for a 1/2 game, how great is that if u are a short stack player Xp

So san manuel is only good if i can play 25$ min... dam. Well there 5$ games are not so bad... 6d. The rules are in favor of the player and thats with just basic strategy, counting i should be golden.... now if i could only count haha

They took away their 8 deck shoes? That would be a major shift for them.

On morongo i have not been there in a while even though i drive by it alot.
It was 8 decks low mins, 6 decks high mins or csm with low mins. Also, the pen was not good enought when i was there but i know things can change. So i will check it out this week and post a thread on it. thx for the update.

Just went tonight.

CSMs are still there (at Royal Match tables I think).

They are indeed 6-deck shoes (H17, DA2, DAS, RSA, NS). Poor penetration. I asked the dealer to go down lower and he said they could go as low as 1-deck (which he did do, almost ~1.2). The standard one they did was almost 2 decks. 7-spot felt.

Place is too dang busy. I left up a few units, anyway =).

I was driving through on my way to palm springs on saturday afternoon and had to stop at morongo.
Your right csm were still there but it seem to be on the $5min and $10 min tables.

$15 min tables and up were shoes with the two deck cut off. ( i did not play)

In HL area it was h17 from what i saw and same rules as you discussed above with pen about the same nothing special.

It was crowded so i would suggest wonging in and out on the main floor just do some backcounting and then hit the next table:grin: dont think they will know your were there unless your playing in HL area which was small and not crowded at all.

Still i fill better casinos down the freeway

Yes, I would rather go down the freeway as well.

While the penetration at Fantasy Springs sucks, I can get them to go down to one deck if I ask. Hey, they should want to deal deeper! More hands per hour! I like them because it is still S17 on the shoes and they give easy room comps. Haven't had to pay for a room there in a few years.
