Hey, uh Scott, BJINFO requested a REVIEW COPY of the software THREE WEEKS AGO...
and no response after you thanked us all for our contribution. We need the review copy so that we
can report on how P21 stacks up to the competition.

Are you going to provide it or not? zg

Ps - YOU PROMISED US A STORY!! Will we get that?

Scott's reply: YES YES AND NO NO!

FROM XXXX:
ZG, I tried to get Scott/P21 to log back on - I emailed him to ask him to revisit... here is his response.

Thanks for taking the time to contact me, it is very appreciated.
As I stated I have no intentions of going back to [BJINFO].
I might try it again at some point.
What we are doing is supplying actual demos, up to 25 of them on the Playing21.com web site. These will also be made for YouTube and the like. They will show everything that is stated in the Playing 21 site and it will show every feature in a walk through for all to see. We are expecting these to go live in the next 60 days or so for all to see.
We have supplied over 100 free copies of the program to media and many professionals at the gaming shows.
After some of the responses from this particular forum, I see no value in having any of these people evaluating the program. It is as strong as it says it is and have been sold for over 5 years.
The site basically comes up in the top page or even 1st in searches in almost every search engine with the exception of Google....but that is personal. They don’t like our search engine patent, so be it. We are established, reputable and the program is gold. I personally don’t need to defend it.
If you find a serious professional will to look at it, I’ll place weight into that at that time. If you yourself have any questions, I’d love to try and find the answers to them for you.
Looking forward to you seeing the demos.
All the Best and Good Luck at the Tables!!!
Scott

Oddly enough, I've found Google to be the EASIEST engine to propagate SEO with.
Also, I don't find P21 coming up on any of the engines with generic search. Hello, Yes and No, Zipideedudah! zg

I will confirm what you say to be true “Standing on 7,7 v 10 is the correct decision in a 1D H17 NDAS game”. I will let you know if what you are claiming is fact.

Thanks,
Scott

I have read through this thread with some amusement. Obviously Playing 21/ Scott didn't think to spend too much time reading through the whole forum to get a feel for the contributions ,and contributors that make them. Had he done so, I'm sure that as a bright software developer he would have seen that an intellectual drubbing was on the cards if there were any holes in his claims? Perhaps he didn't think there were?

I suppose I am writing this as one of a pool of prospective customers for his product. Never having played table games in my life before, I've been looking at BJ for around 8 weeks now in the anticipation of playing reasonably regularly with an edge. My investment on this so far is:

3 books.
10 decks of cards.
Many hours of research in places like this (possibly over 100)
Probably as many hours in learning to count cards, memorising BS tables, indices etc
One trip to a regional casino to see what actually goes on - a recce (or recon for those former US soldiers) so to speak.

Having done all of this I can't really see why I would need a software programe to help me learn the game? I've found three pages on the web that allow me to play simulation games, practice counting and practice BS - and they're all free. I found this forum, and the one at Blackjackforumonline where I can post questions, and those with more experience and playing hours under their belt than I'll ever achieve have usually provided an answer. Had a question the other day re making a change to a playing index. Couldn't find any reference to it being asked before anywhere. QFIT very kindly ran a 5billion hand sim and provided the answer.

I think that Scott's product is really aimed at those who are looking for a quick route to becoming a proficient player from scratch. Trouble is, just like learning a foreign language (plenty of software around for that too) there isn't a quick-route - it seems to me it requires just as many hours invested in research, learning and practice.

I wonder if he has done any calculations as to the number of copies he will need to sell at $24.95 in order to cover the development and marketing costs and breakeven? In my experience in business, that is usually a great leveller.

No, not the meaning of life. Just a straight answer to a pretty run of the mill "is there any real difference?" type question. There wasn't.

Practice software is the most efficient way to develop counting skills - unfortunately thats not what P21 is.
There are only a few worthy drill wares available and that is not one of them. zg

Does 5B strike you as an exceedingly large sim? zg
10B total actually. And no, it's not large when comparing two nearly identical strategies. The sims I did for Blackjack Attack were 20 billion rounds each - with four players. Trillions of hands total.
