Situational Charts

#1
Greetings from Germany to all of you.

Well i have a question to basic strategys. I have found different charts for playing on a six deck game. Otherwise i would be glad to find some charts playing on games with single decks, etc. ... do u have a link where i can found what i am searching for?

In June i am going to travel to Las Vegas for the first time. Can u prefer any casino which is a must see? ;) - i have heard that all casinos on the strip has only tables with eight or more decks  - is it right?

Best regards...
Chris

Welcome to the board here and also to Vegas!

I assume that you will be spending most of your time down on the Strip since that's were all the glitz and glamor is (ie, Mega Resorts and theme Casinos) and I don't blame you a bit! It's a lot of eye-candy down there!

But, if you want to find good BJ games, you'll have to search for better games a lot less intensly if you look downtown on Fremont St. You can find them on the Strip, but you really have to look for them. So many have that blasted 6:5 payout on blackjacks instead of 3:2, especially on double deck and single deck tables.

My advise is to really look at the table rules before buying chips. If they are not predominately posted, ASK.

Thanks for your help KenSmith and Mikeaber.

Sorry for another question but what is the difference between a 6:5 to a 3:2 payout?

In essence, on a $5 bet, a blackjack with 6:5 will pay you $6. On a $5 bet with 3:2, the blackjacks will pay $7.50.

Shame

It's a shame Chris.....I'll be there over the weekend before July 4. Looks like we'll just miss being there at the same time! I wish you good fortune on your trip! Wear cool clothes....weatherwise. I looked last week and it was getting up to 106^f in Vegas. It's "dry" heat, but don't let anyone kid you...106^ is HOT no matter what the humidity!

Have you made reservations yet for a Hotel? How long will you be there?

I will be in Vegas for the third time in mid June. Assuming you are a serious player, downtown is the best place to play. If you play more for a good time, I had a wonderful time plpaying at the Flamingo, and that is where I'm staying this time. Something about the really big places turns me off. Ceasars, MGM, Bellagio, etc I never have any luck.

Yeah...it's a dry heat...but so is my oven and you don't see me climbing in there

Lived in Phoenix almost my whole life...got to 122 degrees (not a typo) here one year. You NEVER get used to it. Take his advice and dress for HOT weather!

I will stay at circuscircus from 15th-22nd June. I hope there are not as many children as i think, but we'll see. I have prefered an other hotel but the flight is quite expensive so i have to choose a cheaper hotel. If i'll visit Las Vegas in the future again i hope to stay at Cesars...

Damn - weather looks really hot, but i hope i'll find some nice pools out there - otherwise i will be glad to visit air conditioned places ^^

Central Strip Locations

I do hope your stay there is a pleasant one Chris. I have no experience with Circus Circus. Were I you and if I intended to return, I'd take a little time while siteseeing on the Strip and check out places like Imperial Palace and Casino Royale. They are a little more centrally located on the Strip and are quite affordable I think.
