Doubling bet after a losing hand..

I'm only on Page 8 of this thread...but i'm guessing the rest of the posts are mostly just bickering back and forth about Martingale.

I've got a question.. for people that like messing around with Martingale.

It popped into my head about an hour ago..

Why don't we just take our business to Roulette since the odds are slightly better in our favor. ( 50% chance every time if we bet on red or black )

$100 bet on Red... I lose..
$100 bet on Red... I lose again..
$150 bet on Red....I lose again..
$200 bet on Red....I lose again..
$400 bet on Red....I lose again..
$600 bet on Red....I lose again..
$1000 bet on Red....I lose again..
$2000 bet on Red....I lose again..
$3000 bet on Red....I win !

How often does it land on one color 10 or more times in a row ? not often...i'm sure.

If I win on $3000 , i'm still down about $1600 ... but that would most likely be made up over time.... (Red comes in 5 times in a row , etc) The same way I get it back in blackjack.

But doesn't this seem logical , that a conservative Martingale would be slightly better odds with Roulette than Blackjack ?

Where can you find a roulette game that offers 50% chance of winning if one bets on red or black? Does it have 0 or 00?

crap, i forgot about the green 0.

but still, its very close to 50%. and probably less stressful than blackjack.
