It comes as no surprise but the allegheny casino has brought back the csm on all low limit bj tables. This adds insult to injury because just how much more do they want from a 8d doa ns game. Sorry but I won't be back as well as the other patrons that saw this as an insult. The green chip game is even 8d which rates it as not worht the gas to go. The tables were empty for the most part and that says alot about how this went over this weekend.

Glad to hear the casino is empty, in my experience ploppies seem to be afraid of CSMs, even as an AP you kind of have to question what goes on in there. Play at a casino with both CSMs and hand shuffled, and more often then not you will see the more expensive hand shuffled tables full, while the CSMs are emptier.

Probably not a good a bright business idea to bring CSMs into a casino that depends on local, regular customers.

Ploppies and addicts can't resist whether the game is coming hand dealt, CSM or the barrel of a gun. CSM's sure do shake counters out of the weeds. Seneca has been garbage for years. It is still there.

Sally lately!

I feel that this will be a fatal mistake on their part. They did this a year or so after opening and it wasn't well recieved. With Pa. at the back door and the Ohio opening on the horizen they won't last much longer. I know they lost one customer!

Since Presque Isle opened in Erie, I've stayed away from Seneca when I'm up your way. PI is only an hour away from SA and the BJ has far more favorable rules.

The thing that amazes me is that many of these stores don't realize that they need to compete with eachother. A casino won't make up it's shortfalls in profit by increasing house edge, they will make it up by lowering house edge and telling everyone who will listen that they're doing it to get them to come to their place. Yes, AP's will come and take some of the money, but the average Joe will outnumber the AP by at least 100 to 1 and still lose a boat-load of money. He'll keep coming back though, because the store is offering him a better chance to win and he will occasionally win. He'll remember his wins and tend to forget his losses and tell friends of his wins and help the casino to recruit new patrons to "beat" the casino.

AC is prime example - They are headed for the toilet because they refuse to compete with the PA casinos who have siphoned off a large % of their customer base. They actually thought the PA joints would be a joke....a fad....that would go away and not something they had to worry about long term. They now realize they have to worry but rather than try to woo gamblers to AC with a lower house edge they make the games worse to try to compensate for losses. This will ensure their demise unless someone with a brain takes over a joint and starts to compete.

x2. If I go to AC to meet some of my friends there, I play in Pa on the way up and on the way back. I pretty much just socialize in AC. For a low limit player like me the games suck even worse. They should at least bring back LS. Giving descent pen usually makes the casino money while making the games more attractive. Who likes to waste so much time at the tables while they switch from one pack to the other. Especially if it is hand shuffle. Many groups of friends go to play together. Most don't play blackjack but when they decide where to go all the other games have almost the same rules everywhere so they go where the blackjack rules are most favorable since one of them usually plays blackjack. Even if the blackjack player tends to win more than they lose the others more than make up for it.
