5 card Charlies?

Does anyone know if any casinos play this rule (5 card Charlies) in Blackjack.
What % advantage would this give the player.. Why has this play been wipe out from most casinos. Here is another way to win taken away by the greed of the corporate ownership of casinos.

The only place I've seen it is in special promotional situations...sort of a "loss leader" to get folks in or to celebrate some anniversary of the opening of a casino or something like that.

Pontoon form of 21, pays five card charlies 2:1 and if you had doubled down on the hand thats a 4:1 payout! You can find the game on many online casino's especially ones using RTG software.

The last time I played at Boomtown in Biloxi (quite a while ago) they paid this bet. It is a moot point if they still were still doing so recently since they got crunched by Katrina.

5 card charlie offers a nice edge for the player if you can find it. I think Paul Wong talks about it in Pro BJ but I haven't gotten that far and don't know the exact edge it provides for a player. From what I've read elsewhere, including Kevin Blackwood's book, 5 card charlie was (maybe still is) popular in Asian countries. Something to do with them not liking to hit their stiffs!

5CC offers a 1.46% advantage to the player. That's undoubtedly why you don't see it very often! In fact, the only thing that offers the player a larger advantage is a 2:1 Blackjack rule which jumps the players edge by 2.27%.
