Excalibur & Bills

I played $10 minimum tables only which meant H17....the two best $10 min shoe games on the strip circa last month were at Excalibur - great pen and 8 decks and Bills.

Walk your lazy ass downstairs...you'll never have to leave ur hotel

MGM has an OK game but is great for a serial wonger

You have got to be kidding right? With 7 MGM properties on the lower end of the strip, you have managed to single out the store with the worst games. Your advice about not leaving the hotel @ excalibur....Horrible horrible advice. Someone staying at Excal is surrounded by some pretty decent 6 deck games.

Your second choice is Bills? As in Bills gambling Hall??:laugh: The only 2 reasons to stop by Bills is the free Big Elvis act and the cheap breakfast at Victorian Cafe.

Excel was great when I was there...by far the best shoe game at the ny ny, MGM, excel, TROP intersection...BY FAR THE BEST.

I played about 15 hours a day for 5 days at 12 stores and EXCALIBUR was the best low limit shoe game on the strip

I can't even rember the last time I played the Ex. Cal. And Bills makes for a great shortcut to avoid the lines of tourist out front waiting to get what I assume are half price show tickets.

Do not play at Excalibur. Don't even bother walking by the tables. Take the tram to Mandalay Bay or the bridge to MGM. They both have exactly what you are looking for.

How long is your stay? A friend of mine stayed at Excalibur a couple of weeks ago and got a nice room upgrade in Tower II by using the $20 trick.

Like I said, MGM and Mandalay Bay. You didn't indicate what table minimums you wanted. If you are going to play green and/or black, there are about a dozen more strip casinos with the same 6 deck rules including most MGM properties.

The two I gave you are closest to where you are staying and have the lowest minimums at $10-$15.

Thanks,
I'm a low bid kind of guy....I double +5 on a loss....and start with $ 300 and stop when I get to $600. So a low min helps. I will try those two and let you know how I do.

Thanks for your help

I think what is at issue here is how one defines "best". If you are going strickly by rules, then yes, there are better 6 deck games on the strip. If you add in penetration, there still may be a few better games. But if you are factoring in number of tables available (wonging in and out) and the casino's tolerance level, as I do, you are hard pressed to find better 'opportunities' on the strip. It's not really about finding the best game, it's about finding the best opportunity. I mean one of the best games (by rules) in Vegas is at 6th and Fremont, but it's not much of an 'opportunity' to make any serious money. (except in very short spurts) There are also some really good games, rules-wise in some high limit areas, but they are protected and watched so closely, it makes them not a great 'opportunity'.

As far as shoes game goes, how about the Palms compare to MGM and MB or even NYNY?
I can't comment on penetration or heat, but Palms hits on soft seventeen at anything below 100 minimum.

MGM will, in early mornings/midweek, have an S17 game at $15, and Mandalay Bay will have it at either $15 or $10 at the same times.

NYNY apparently has S17 games at $50 per hand.

So all of them have liberal rules at lower minimums than the Palms.
