I have a question,
Let's say i take out $5k in Bellagio and lose them all, then an hour later i go to Mirage and take out another $5k from my wallet bringing to a total of $10k out of my pocket. Will the Mirage make me sign the CTR Form (the one that you give your SS# and Driver license & signature)? Or is the $10k limit for each casino i visit?
thanks!

Actually 10K exactly is no problem. It's at 10,000.01 that needs to be reported, and yes, it's house by house.

So even though those two casinos belong to the same parent company "MGM Mirage", i wouldn't have to deal with signing CTR Form as long as i don't go over $10,000 in each casino ? Thanks!

Is a CTR a concern when buying in?? I thought it was only when you cashed out.

It's both. Any cash transaction will qualify.

And it is not just casinos, any cash transaction of over 10k. You deposit over 10k in your own bank account it triggers a CTR. Buy a car for cash - they file a CTR.

Buyins are tallied separately from cashouts, however. So, you could buy in for $6k, and then cash out for $6k, and there would be no CTR.
