Winning trip at Biloxi Casinos
Biloxi trip was great. Played a lot of craps and a lot of DD pitch BJ. Craps was entertaining (and slightly profitable!) This was the first trip that I was able to count (used hi-opt 1) with some accuracy and was actually able to keep track and see some of the differences in the game based on counting. There were a few times when I lost track of the count, but two things would save me. First, in two deck pitch with 50% or 60% pen, the end of the round was never more than one or two hands away. Second, was I could check my current (or last) bet, if it was one unit there must have been a low or neg count, or if there were several units out, there had to have been a pos count. I am still new to counting. I play the $25 DD pitch games. I still lack the confidence to raise my bets by whole units ($25 increments), so I raise my $25 minimum bet with $5 units. If the count is up +2, I will raise one unit ($5) up to $30. When the count is up +3, I raise two units up to $35...etc. If I get a count that is +5 or more I will go all the way to $50. That happened only once and I lost that hand which ended up also being a double down (lost $100.) Anyway, the three days had a lot of hot streaks and cold runs. At one point I was up $800, by the time the ups and downs were over and it was time to go home, I was up $300. For me that is a very good trip.
There were several sessions with other players whose bets reflected increases at the same time as mine. I assumed they were counting also! They only bet green and always increased in green units. Usually in units slightly above my own. Most of the time if I had my one green and two red units on the felt, the other players had four or five green units out. The dealer also may have been keeping track. He made a few suggestive statements to one of the regular players when bets were high. Counting changes the whole complection of this game. The only thing that is tough (to me) is that just because the count increases, doesn't mean you will win the upcoming hands. The cards coming out may have been high as expected, most of the time the dealer or other players received the best hands. I won very few pos count hands. Most of the time I won my hands when the count was on its way down. Most of my wins were double downs and splits. I also won most of the hands at low counts just playing two deck BS.
Already planning my next trip. Next trip will be by the end of the month. May even have two more trips this month. Since I have started playing the $25 min game, the complementaries have been coming very regular. The comps make it worth going every other week almost. One casino sends me and my wife two free rooms for three days each for a total of four free rooms per month. We then can take friends or family with us on each trip. They can stay for free and help split the fuel expenses and the driving. All the meals are complimentary, which leaves our only expense, the cost of gambling! The cash comps I receive along with the slot comps my wife receives help also.
Can't wait for the next trip!
