Stop wasting your time at the Indian Casinos in Seattle. Most of them within the Seattle area (keep in mind Seattle Area only, around the state you can find some good games) have 8 deck NDAS and crappy pen.
If you want some good games try the card rooms. Casino Caribbean in Kirkland is good, Roman Casino in Skyway, Skyway Park Bowl and Casino, Great American Tukwila, Great American Kent. All of these mentioned have six deck, and some with ls, rsa and $5 min.
Goldies in Shoreline has a good DD game $10 min, with 50% pen.
I know of a card room in the Seattle area that is 8 deck and has the best penetration I have ever seen. $5 min and $300 max This casino instructs all dealers to cut 20-40 cards back as they value more hands per hour. PM me if this interests you.
It was my first and possibly last trip to Seattle. I just went there because my wife had a business trip there. The games were lousy, but I actually did better than I did with much better games in Vegas the week before. In Vegas, the DD was better than 75% pen, but alas, H17 and no surrender.
Everywhere, it seems they are getting these games down to where only the best counters have a chance to beat them, and that only with a quick hit and run. It's almost as if the casinos are advertising for counters, the run of the mill type, who will be unable to beat their marginal games. Why would they do that? Because card counters have large bankrolls and are dedicated to beating the casinos.
What better target? A ploppy usually has $300 - $500 that he is willing to lose as part of the entertainment bill--maybe even $1,000. A self-proclaimed counter may have $2,000 to $5,000, and sometimes even $10,000. What would you rather have--50 ploppies with $500 each to lose or 10 wannabee counters with $5,000 each to lose? Of course I stacked the numbers, but my point is, the wannabee counter population might well be a target of the educated casino gaming strategist.
Otherwise, at least if I were a casino gaming strategist, I would simply bring in the unbeatable games, like I saw at Binion's--6 to 5 on blackjacks even in shoe games, and lackluster pen to top it off. Of course, Binion's will get no APs, even wannabees with such games so they must have made a conscious decision to cater to the ploppy trade alone. Funny thing is, the same owner has better games at the Four Queens. It's almost like he's running a test. Wonder which casino will win best profit margins for blackjack?
