Assumed Names

It's easy!

How does one obtain a player's card under an assumed name?
Get a credit/debit card company to give you a card in the assumed name. Give that and a business card showing your address and assumed name to the player's club clerk. Usually works for me. You can get an "ID" in that name pretty easy, (novelty) that will seal the deal when presented with the other items.

Gee, here in Los Angeles, almost any high school kid can tell you where to go to get a fake driver's license that will past muster at 99% of places (and certainly at the rewards club desk). Only $100. :p

But a fake driver's license is illegal. A fake novelty ID is completely legal. I don't advise anyone to use either one, but if you do you should choose wisely.

Yeah, I believe that fake government IDs are illegal, or at least could be construed that way if you got caught with one.

One idea instead of getting fake ID is to just use a players card of a friend assuming you have friends for the same gender and approximate age.

But then how do you get the comps? You have to drag your friend with you every time you play.

The problem with that is you risk abusing a friend, if he plays at the casino for pleasure and will no longer be able to if you get busted.

I'd rather take my chances with the fake DL. Not so sure how illegal it is as long as you are not using it for some other illegal purpose, like unlicensed driving or underage drinking or gambling. Just be careful not to carry it with you after you get the players card. Set a PIN as soon as you get the card so you will be less likely to be asked for ID a second time.

Using a fake name to get a credit or debit card isn't illegal?

I get credit card offers constantly in the name QFIT which I registered as a DBA (doing business as), a legal fictitious name.

Yes, I have a company credit card. However, the company is a legal entity and the card also has my legal name on it. And I really don't think a casino is going to give "QFIT" a player's card.

:) But, do you know what the clerks that take the cards are paid?

Of course, I haven't used that name. Might be fun to try.

Will a novelty ID and fictitious business card really pass mustard when applying for a player's card?

I was under the impression that they only issue players cards to customers who present a valid drivers license...

Maybe you could bribe the clerk, or a casino host or someone who could get away with it.

MJ1 is wise in his skepticism.

I have never known a casino to accept other than a driver's license, satte issued identification card (for non-drivers) or passport.

Idiotically, the clerks will not accept the above if "expired" or "invalidated" for any reason.

Why does a casino always want official govt ID? they're just giving you comps and other crap. I'm in the Subway Sandwich club where I get a free sandwich every 10 sandwiches I buy, but I don't remember them asking me for my license to get a free sandwich. So one can only deduce that they use it to track your winnings to see if you are a threat. I've never been asked to sign up for the player's club when I put down $1000 at a craps table, but $1k at a blackjack table sometimes will get the PC's attention. So my advice as to getting a card under an assumed name would be to plop a lot of cash at a blackjack table, when the PC comes over to ask if you want a card, tell them the bit about Subway sandwiches and why do you need my govt ID to just give me free stuff?
Either they will give a card without your ID or they'll stop suspecting you of being a counter. I got a card at LV hilton and Palms this way.

Obviously, this won't work if you're main purpose is to get the card. but as my purpose is to just keep them from tracking me when I cash out, and get a few comps on the side, this is perfect.

P.S., don't use the subway bit, that's mine! think of some other business.

I suspect that they gave you a temporary card, and that if you try to use it to redeem comps, you'll be asked for a Pin No. and I.D., placing you back in the loop of presenting gov't I.D.

Am I correct ?
