Best casinos near VA

#1
Hey guys.
Im just starting to learn card counting and bs for that matter. (going through the blackjack school on this site).
I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on the best casinos around (money making wise. I dont care if its a shithole).
I live in western VA (not WV) and would like to find somewhere pretty close that i could hit up every weekend or so.

The Charlestown, West VA Hollywood game is simply awful.
An e.v. of -66 on their horrid shoe games and NO tables with less than $25 minimums ! The $100 tables offer marginally acceptable gamers for those with deep pockets.

North Carolina's Harrah's Cherokee Casino is just a slot joint. NO B.J.

There are outfits that organize Junkets from North Carolina to Las Vegas, Mississippi, and A.C.

Tunica, Mississippi (Robinsonville) is your best bet.
You can find $5 Double Deck Games there.
Heat is tolerable at low stakes.

I think you mean Charles Town. Charleston is the capital of West Virginia, but it is no where near Charles Town, and I do not believe it has a casino, which are located at race tracks within the state.

The original poster might want to try the casino at Grantville, PA, also a Hollywood casino, but subject to the better state prescribed rules in Pennsylvania. And drive on further to the Sands Casino at Bethlehem, near Allentown, PA.

Grantville is a straight shot up Interstate 81 about 300 miles from Roanoke and 120 miles from Winchester, depending on what you meant by western Virginia. Sands Casino is about 200 miles from Winchester and about 380 miles from Roanoke.

If you're in the Roanoke region, the casinos at Wheeling, WV, (1) and Pittsburgh, PA (3) are about 6 hours away; From Winchester, 3 1/2 to 4 hours.
