Without even going to that link, I knew something was wrong. I have almost a straight on view of the Cosmo from my balcony, which is a little more than a block away. I haven't been in Vegas for 6 weeks, but I know they are no where near ready to open. I actually have been wondering if they are going to make 2010 at all.
I'm aware of that, KJ. I wanted to see if anyone had the inside scoop, on anything at this point. Maybe I got a little excited and started the thread a little early. But I'm sure people will start adding more as it gets closer to opening.
They had an agreement with Hilton to manage the place but that agreement recently fell through. I am kind of hoping that they aren't looking around for a similar agreement with say, 'the evil empire'.
While it is true that they don't have a corporate pool of employee to draw from like Aria did, I suspect many of the dealers and managemnet will be coming from other 'lower end' properties rather than the unemployment lines. It won't be a store with completely green dealers like we have experienced on the east coast this summer.

I hardly told ya where I live. Dozens of building and thousand and thousands of units within that area.
Vegas is probably a poor choice for your gathering. Your group will experience a lot more heat and countermeasures than you have described at your previous locations, especially at that slow time of year. Let us know how that works out.

The Bashers are very hard core and almost all vastly experienced in the AP world so Vegas will pose them no problems as I am sure it will be be a very smooth sailing event.
