Open season for some robbers in Trump Casinos

Business as usual

These incidents are nothing new. This has been an ongoing aspect of Atlantic City for many years that I have talked about at length before. Years ago, notations about the high crime rate in AC were in an annual travel publication. The next year this notation was omitted although the crime rate had increased! Did the publisher get paid off or threatened to avoid saying anything about that in the next year's issue?

There are actual organized groups that are constantly "casing" (casino) areas that stay in touch with each other via cellphone. Spend enough time in the casinos and you can pick them right out! I have been followed or "tailed" before by people that were obviously up to no good, panhandled while right next to the blackjack pits, heard many a sob story such as from some poor waif who's "boyfriend left them stranded in AC" and blah blah blah, etc. It's hard for me to figure how casino security can't pick these people right out also.

What Automonkey said about being aware of your surroundings! Watch associating with anyone you don't know or you may find yourself robbed, hustled or whatever. Stroll off and associate with that little innocent waif and she leads you right into getting the piss beat out of you by a contingent of the local africans before they rob you. Read up on what a "trickroll" is and how it can work. Watch where you go since a group working in a concerted effort that has identified you as a "person of interest" also knows where cameras are and know exactly what areas are ideal for a robbery; They are hoping that you will stroll into one of these areas giving them opportunity.

Not only do I follow these rules but I also have additional "special security precautions" that I follow that I will avoid going into the details of here. Even the casino employees are quite visibly nervous when coming and going from the relative safety of the casino floor, such as leaving to go home at the end of their shift and this is something that they do everyday. There is never any complacency on their part even with doing this task on a daily basis.

One thing to keep in mind when looking at ACs crime statistics is that they are way out of skew. The comparisons to other cities are per X amount of residents residents. The problem is that AC only has 40,000 residents. On any given day, the number of people in AC is well over 100,000 but crimes are compared on the basis of there being 40,000 residents.
AC recently was forced to lay off some police due to the downturn in revenues it has suffered, and not surprisingly the crime rate has gone up.

Never felt unsafe either on BW or in hotels or walking to Pacific IN DAYTIME.
Use a money belt, beware of your surroundings, make sure you are not being followed. Always valet at night. Be aware that ALL of these violent crimes are being done by young, black males.

No comments about your "Be aware that ALL of these violent crimes are being done by young, black males." I plead the fifth on a lawyer's advice: "Some things seem better left unsaid....and if said, deleted. " Other than that, your pointers are appreciated especially because of more bad news about 2 robberies on Boardwalk.

An open season for robbers is now extended from Trump casinos to victims on Boardwalk. Recently a gambler on Boardwalk was robbed by a Black gunman on bike near Rivel casino. A few days ago, another Black gunman robbed a casher of Ripley's Museum. Criminals seem to take advantage of AC's budget cuts. Why not rob the AC victims while cops and detectives are short handed? How short-handed are the Police? Hmm... it was reported that it took an hour for a detective to arrive at Ripley's Museum after the robbery! Hmm.. APs won't get a prayer in hell if we get targeted in casinos and robbed by gunmen on Boardwalk.

A few days ago, a gunman is sought by Police in the robbery of Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum

Being a monkey, I'm perfectly at ease around Africans but the politically incorrect facts about what color your robber is likely to be in AC are noted and I am sure understood by most of us. Also keep in mind that black male criminals of a certain mindset wouldn't be caught dead with a black female (e.g., OJ) and his female accomplice(s) may not be so identifiable. I don't consider these crimes to be acts of bias because they will victimize anyone of any color.

But that said, there was a white male robber on the loose on the Boardwalk last month. He was described as 5'1" and 130 lb. I'd estimate that he's probably the sickest, craziest one of them all.

Hey Monk, what had the sickest & craziest dude done? Did he f*ck & rob the runaways? In addition to robbers, APs should stay away from the pretty underage-runaways. Recently a gambler met an underage-runaway in Taj Casino & f*cked her in a Casino Hotel. Now he's arrested & faces as many as 10 years in prison and $150,000 in fines for breaking the "Romeo and Juliet" laws. Please keep your cash in your money-belt and your family-jewels zipped tight in their cage.

This thoughtless Romeo is in hot water for statutory-raping an underage Juliet in a Casino Hotel.

Well yeah, you can bet that this was a prostitution and/or blackmail situation, and she wasn't just picking up old guys in the casino for pleasure. Once people realize how much money we have available (and there's no way to hide it at the table or cage) we are targets for things that normal people wouldn't even consider. If you want to fornicate in a casino, put your money away and go someplace where you haven't been playing so you blend in with everyone else who is there to fornicate.
