Spanish 21 vs Blackjack switch

#1
Hi,

I've been playing regular blackjack and blackjack switch recently, and wanted to try the spanish 21 game in Casino Rama, in Ontario Canada.

I'm not sure what the rules are there since i never really paid any attention.
Which game has the better edge for the playing if just using basic strategy, Switch or Spanish 21?

thanks.

You will have to give us the rules of both games before we can answer.

I can tell you right now though that if you are using basic strategy you will get the best edge by not playing any game at all!

Blackjack Switch would require a huge pen and a big big spread to beat. It's not the 1:1 BJ payoff that gets you - that's well compensated by the switch feature - it's dealer does not lose if he hits 22 beats the crap out of you.

Actual rules and big pen is what it takes to beat Spanish. Depending on rules etc, even with the house is -TC 2 or 3 vs. (DEPENDING ON RULES) TC+1 at Blackjack. Strategy is far different than BJ - watch yourself!

Get Katrina Walker's "Pro's Guide to Spanish 21" and study thoroughly before playing.

I'm not sure if it's worth the effort if you have only one casino in the area offering the game unless you travel to other areas with the game.

I know there is a well established unbalanced count for it... Is there an established balanced system? But I guess nothing will really translate to it well, since you're in reality 4 ten short per deck and the bs is so different..
