Turtle Lake foolishness

Turtle Lake does not know how to manage a casino! I go on a weekend, very busy. They have half their tables open. Literally every spot is full. Except for the carnival games, but even they actually saw some traffic, except ultimate texas hold em, that table was dead most of the time.

Anyway, I learn from a dealer that they're keeping everybody under 32 hours. So they will not call more dealers in to adequately staff the place and deal craps and BJ to the many patrons that wish to play but there is no spot for.

The dealers that are under 32 hours are forced to stay and work ridiculously long shifts if needed.

They receive less breaks than other casinos, also, it appeared. I heard someone say they are also in a hiring freeze. Real smart. Afraid to hire people to pay minimum wage to bring lots of money in for the casino. Flippin ridiculous. The management is clearly lacking in business sense. They have enough sense to know that dealing a fair game is good for business, but that is no good if people who want to play don't have the chance to throw their money away!

Every single BJ dealer I watched/played with made at least one error when I was there. Ploppies usually corrected errors in their favor! I can go whole sessions at other casinos without seeing errors, but they were all over the place here! The strangest thing happened, I started tucking my cards after I hit for 20, dealer gives me another hit card anyway, and it's an ace.

Me and ploppy next to me looked at each other in awe as he flipped my cards and paid me after he had 20.

I used to hold this casino in high regards, but no longer. They have no business sense, and they treat their dealers like dirt. I could tell by looking in their eyes that they weren't just telling sob stories for the tokes..

Do not get angry or emotional or involved in the dealers plight.

You are interested in only one thing, the game...got game?...I see some great opportunity in what you wrote. What is going down on the felt is all you should be concerned about. "BJ Warriors" do not allow their focus to be distracted, sniff the air, sharpen the sight, move those ears and listen to your surroundings, take it all in, size up the prey, calculate, stalk and then POUNCE:devil: Drink the BLOOD and cover yourself in it, revel in it:eek:

I am glad you are making it to the "BJ BASH"

That would explain it...

Some dealers actually have a good time while they're dealing, but not the ones at Turtle Lake. I figured they must have a rule against it.

Don't worry, the only thing that upset me was the lack of open tables.
