What's the most you've won from the lowest amount?

Plain and simple, I would love to know: What's the most you've won from the lowest amount?

Say you had $50 but with incredible luck and canny betting you won $300 or you had £100 and managed to work your way up to £700. It could be at a real casino or online casino!

This didn't happen to me, but I saw it happen. Kid sits down at my table (in his early 20's)and buys in for $100. About 2 hours later he cashes out for $14,000. (And I know for a fact he wasn't counting). He won a few hands at $25, increased the bets to $100, won some more, increased the bets to $500. Next thing you know he's betting table max ($1000 per hand), and he keeps on winning (not EVERY hand, but most of them). The guy's got thousands of $$$ in chips in front of him. He's tipping the waitress $25 for a soda. I can't say exactly how much he tipped the dealer, but it had to be $300-$400. He played maybe 4-5 shoes and rode it up to $14K when he left the table. Most incredible run I ever witnessed. As for me, my best ever was a $100 buy in that I cashed out at $850 (and it was a marathon, about 6 hours). A drop in the bucket compared to this guy.

I recently bought in for $500 at a $50 table and cashed out in four 6-deck shoes for $10,100 at the Borgata in A. C.
The count went way up near the end of every shoe and I really pressed my bets.

The most amazing run I ever witnessed was a kid, on his 21st birthday, sit down at a $5 table with a $100 and leave about four hours later with over $40,000. Don't know what happened to him after that, but it would have ruined my gaming for life.

Anglinw what was the max. bet at that table? I'm curious how he turned $100 into $40,000?

SystemTrader, If memory serves correctly the maximum bet was $5000. That was in 1989 at Tropicana in Atlantic City on a Saturday night. I was 22 years old and it was only my second time gambling in my life. I remember the moment that boy colored up vividly. The dealer stacked up all the purple $500 chips he had then pushed another few stacks of black chips across the table. Last I saw, security was escorting the boy to the cashier holding chips in both hands, and the pit boss was closing the table.

Seems to me that table minimums went up, and table maximums went down in the mid 1990's. Then the "No Mid-Shoe Entry" tables got popular. Never really knew why or even had a good guess until I read about the MIT teams from Boston years later. Last week at the Borgata in AC the high limit area and the main floor had $100 and $200 minimum tables both with $6000 max bet, all no mid-shoe entry.

My best ever was putting a dollar coin into a poker machine for a single spin and winning just over $20 I think. I pulled $20 out anyway. So thats 20-1 win.
Best at blackjack would be doubling $100 at a $10 table. (My only nearby casino is a CSMville, so I can't count there:sad: )

What are the odds? I don't know. Someone with math skills or the right software package could spit the answer out quickly and accurately. How many times have you seen the roulette wheel hit the same number twice, three times, maybe four times? It's very slim, but it absolutely can and does happen. If you spend enough time in casinos, you will see it happen. Most every day, someone in the U. S. wins over a million dollars on a state or regional lottery. The odds are always millions to one. But they are won.

Spreads, heat? These have never been issues for me at any major casino on a busy weekend night. The only time I was ever backed off a table was at a small casino that was nearly empty on Freemont, on a Monday morning, at $5 minimums. If the count is very high, and The Wyn or Mandala Bay is packed on a Saturday night, I have spread 1-20 with no problems what-so-ever. If I can spread to 20 betting units once or twice and win, I usually color up, cash out, and change Casinos. You simply can't get away with this at The Plaza or Vegas Club on a Monday morning. It's good to be sensible with betting spreads, but don't sell your game short out of paranoia either. I just try to stay aware of the conditions and environment I am playing in, and bet accordingly.

I once turned $100 into $3000 - then gave it all right back, at the same table, plus another $100. This gross act of stupidity took less than two hours and involved too many transactions with the cocktail waitress to count.

Wrong to use as an example. Totally different. Its millions to one for the one person. But there were millions of tickets sold.
The odds of the lottery being won are about 100%. If it jackpots, someone wins it eventually.
The odds on turning $100 into $40000 would be into the billions to one I would think.

when i was 18 i turned $100 into about $600 playing at the $10 table at sydney star city. that took about 6 hours..

other memorable times. (even though i dont play anymore and hardly ever did once my friends were putting $10 each into poker (slot) machine in 1 cent machine but i said why bother i just put my $10 in a $1 machine for 3 hits. got feature twice for 50 free games pulled out $500 when i was 18 also.

another time i took $300 to $25 table lost it all.... pulled out another $100 from ATM. went back. got down to my last $25 chip.. and some how pulled out like 1 grand after 1-2 hrs. i thought i was gone that nite..

i remember sometimes when i was hitting on 16. id close my eyes and like "concentrate" and then motion for a hit and both times i pulled a "5" i think the dealer got a bit freaked out lolol........

sometimes u just hit and u know its "your night" when ur on fire.. and other times you can manage to lose a bunch of hands with totals or "20 or 19

It was on television about 10 years ago, when a homeless man walked into a casino with $1.00 and parlayed it up to $100,000.00(took him about three days to win). They comped him a room, food, new clothes, steak and lobster, alcohol(mistake), whatever he wanted.

He kept playing. Then you guessed it, he lost it all back in one day. They escorted him out of the casino and didn't even give him a comp to eat on the way out the door.

You would think that at one point (100,000 seems like a good number) he would quit? Ugh...

Don't know how much I actually picked up during this stretch.

Last weekend at a local casino I was playing Super Fun 21. It's 2 decks with about 75% penetration. There were 2 of us at the table. I went 2 shoes without losing a hand betting $10 per hand. In that time I had 6 card 21's twice(pays double) without a possibility of breaking on either of them.

I was probably up about $150 for those 2 shoes.

Where did you find a game like that?

a few years back I was wasting time at the Avi south of laughlin, playing
s.f.21. I talked the dealer into dealing right through one deck and use the discard tray for any extra cards to finish out the last hand. I went up about to 350. that was after I bought in for their $40 for $50 promo.

I didnt see that the thread was "What's the most you've won from the lowest amount?"
that would be 5 units turned into 1900. single deck, good old days at Binions. some of that play was craps as well. ...oh small thing they backroomed me around 2 am. they let me keep the chips, but wouldnt cash em out. I told them they should put a big sign over the entrances that said in big letters..."We cheat drunks"

Once i bought in for $600 and turned it into $4700 with a $200 top bet. It Took about 5hours. I just kept winning and winning. Last month when i was playing at the bellagio I turned 2k into 14k in about one hour with $500 top bet. In the following hour I lost about 6k of it back.
