Answers and facts for the montreal casino

#1
Iv seen a few questions asked about the Montreal casino and i figure it would help that i answer. First of all the rules -
They use 8 decks about 70%-80% penetration(largely dependant on the dealer), dealer hits soft 17, split any cards, ddas, dd any cards. 15min bet, 300 max at the lowest level table.

After 5 days of practicing counting with the hi-lo system and learning basic strategy, i decided to hit the casino, yestoday, with a 120$

First at my surprise, no Stand soft 17 tables. Not good. The rules are pretty bad, however im going to have to live with it, considering this is the only place i can play. Also this is my first time in a casino, so im quite confused with the chips, rules and so. The first hour i spend my time getting used to the table and just backcounting but not playing anything. No heat whatsover obviously.

The next 3 hours i spent my time backcounting, hitting with the minimum bet when i averaged a TC of 3. Now i gotta say that with rules like those, you doom yourself if u just sit at a table and just flatbet. You have to hit&run(also known as wonging). However it is beatable.

As for Pitboss/heat... absolutely none. Players discuss basic strategy and the dealer tells players the basic strategy for almost all their cards, so if u ever forget if u should split those 3, asked the dealer lol. There is absolutely no heat whatsoever. Theres a lot of table and it is quite crowded(wednesday night), therefor it is very usual for players to have crowds around them(thus allowing u to count) and i have to say that i received absolutely no heat and i could have counted shouting, i think it wouldnt have mattered.

Profit for the night - 70$. Not a lot, considering i only played 8hands. But for my first time, i was satisfied and next time i will be a lot more used to it and it should be better

Yea, i also go to the Casino of Montreal seeing as it is only like 15 minutes away from me, and the only Casino available. However, the Casino is horrible. Although there is no heat, the rules are HORRIBLE, making the game not very beatable, or beatable, but nothing to druel on. So as for the Casino of Montreal, you do not get heat, but because of the bad rules, nothings really worth playing. Don't get me wrong, i go there alot, like maybe once a week on average, but it will be very hard to make money in the long run in this Casino. However, i heard that they might be getting poker shortly, so that'll be interesting.

Well, 80% pen on 8 deck is pretty crummy.
I haven't been in a while but last time there pen was less than %75. One good rule you could backline players (or your teammates), to get all your defensive splits for cheap. For this strategy team members just flat bet and BP comes around for all the big bets, team members split accordingly.
