There are a few in Las Vegas, especially in the low limit games. They seem to me to be more predominant in other areas however.

Lets not forget about card mucking and bet pinching/capping. But why bother talking about ways to cheat at blackjack when the game can be beaten legally? Isn't that what this website is all about?

I absolutely hate these machines, because I am just learning to card count and want to try it out in a casino, but I can't cause Im only 18 and the only casino that I can gamble at is an Indian Casino with freaking Automatic Shufflers.

I hate them, and my dealer said today that all casinos will have them by the end of the century. My question is, if it eliminates counting, why dont they all have them now? Lord knows they have enough money...

Yes they do have a lot of money but it's a cost for them anyhow and if they don't have significant problem with card counters, why bother?

Which casino is it Dyepaint? Also I have found that some casinos with continuous shufflers will have some overflow tables that are only used when the casino is at occupant capacity and these tables usually just have shoes so you might get lucky!

your fear is not real

Hi,

According to your dislike about shuffle machines. They will come and go. In areas where they could easily have them because there is no other casino in the area they might try it. But better believe me, most people do not like those machines. In Vegas it will never be a 100 percent deal. To much competition and the higher limits will not have them. High rollers do not want to play machines.

I think that even in isolated places they will experience losses if they start them every where in their joint. It is a come and go with those things.

I play right now at Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.

I know in the high roller area they still deal by hand, but I dont have the funds to go up that road quite yet.

Thunder Valley Casino

I really dislike continuous auto shufflers. What a lot of non-counters fail to realize is that these machines cost them a lot more money too. Since the dealer never has to stop to shuffle, the house gets in many many more hands per hour. So though these machines do hurt counters, the real money is not made in this way. It's made by hitting everyone on the floor with the extra hands per hour.

Near Sacramento, at Thunder Valley Casino (operated by Station Casinos out of Las Vegas) every one of their 70 or so blackjack tables has a continuous auto shuffler. What disheartens me is that with the lowest limits on most nights being in the $15 range, it can still be hard to find a seat at these bad games. At least they let you re-split aces, I guess.

On top of the shuffle machines, you should see how fast these dealers fly too. They beat the hell out of any dealers around in speed, even compared to other places I have seen with these same machines.

All of these are reasons why I hit Cache Creek Casino instead, or go to Reno. What worries me is that although I don't think these machines will ever have a monopoly on games, more casinos will continue to look to them for the increased revenue due to cutting out shuffling. If someone tells management that their tables will still be nearly 100% full (as in the case of Thunder Valley), and you can have 15-20% more hands per hour, your revenue from these games in the long run would increase by around 15-20%. It's hard to turn down if you are management. Good luck on trying to get people to stop playing these games. 6:5 single deck is a worse game, and that's hard enough to keep them from playing...

BOOMER262 you seems to know the game. I am a card counter from Europe and I will be visited USA for business this September. I am planning to devote one week for blackjack and I am thinking of going to Las Vegas. What do you think? Are the conditions there good? Can I find enough casinos with good penetration and of course no Continous Shuffling Machines? Moreover, do you know anything about the game in Atlantic City? Because I will be in Baltimore and I think that Atlantic City is closer, right?

There are plenty of beatable games in Las Vegas. Just look around and you will find them. If you don't like one game, you can always just get up and walk to the next one. As for Atlantic City, it is much closer. I've never been there, but I hear the rules are crap. You might want to get an opinion from someone who has been there though.
