Playing Online

#1
I only play BlackJack online and only at a select few casinos that I feel are "fairer" than the rest. My experience with most is that they "seem" to be a bit biased against me and I have a lot of "bad luck" playing at them.

I decided at the beginning of 2010 to set a goal to make about $200 a day which I was able to achieve.

Prior to 2010 I mainly played for entertainment and didn't use a lot of discipline.

The choice of words does not prove you credible. If at all you are real and made money, try answering

You claim to make 200$ a day throughout 2010. How many hours do you put in? What was your average bet size? Do you only use Basic Strategy and flat betting? How do you think you manage to win in a negative expectation game? If 'bonus' was how you were milking and you said you play in a few casinos, did you get bonus for every deposit. Not sure, if you were winning why would you make a deposit.

Average bet size is $50 flat betting using basic strategy with minor modifications that meet my playing style. I average between 10-15 minutes playing time a day. As soon as I get ahead $200 I quit for the day. I haven't had a losing day yet, touch wood.

I don't use bonuses at all as the casinos I use rarely give them and I haven't made a deposit since August 2000.

In 2010 I was able to withdraw $74,000.

All from online Blackjack, the only casino in my city is a real dive and it is a horrible place to visit so I don't even bother. I am very much a part time player, but last year I exceeded the income from my full time job for the first time.

There are plenty of gambling sites out there dedicated to money management systems - please take your advice there. This site is dedicated to systems that can be proven mathematically.

RJT.

P.S. Your empirical results don't prove you're playing a winning game.

If what nowun says is true that he was/is winning at least $200 each day since August 2000 (if I'm reading that right), screw mathematics. If online casinos are actually paying out to nowun real money then that speaks louder than any chalkboard analysis.

And there are sites specifically for the purposes of people who share your belief, why do you feel the need to contaminate a site that does not condone such systems?
Mods, i think a harder line needs to be taken in the online forum. It should not simply act as a spill over for the voodoo forum. There are legitimate strategies and there's garbage and all this forum seems to be of late is garbage.

The original question was:

Just curious...
Besides me, does anyone else here actually play BJ for real cash online?

I have another thread going right now which I don't want to divert from but I don't live near any 'Land Based' establishments where I can C.C and implement strategies where I can make any substantial amounts of money. SO...back to my question does anyone else here actually play BJ for real cash online?
If yes...

Where at, and have things worked in your favor overall?!

Thanks
rwbbj
I have had some success of in the past which has continued in 2011. At no time was I or am I saying it will continue. I just outlined what I do as asked in the original question. I have intentionally left out what site (s) I play at as I will not and do not plug any casino. It has taken me a number of years of losing and being cheated to work out which ones I think are honest and I will leave it at that. I am sure others can do the same.

Where do you live nowun, and why haven't you been here before if you're a big time online blackjack player? I mean, $74,000 is not chicken feed. I don't want to know what online bj site you play, for obvious reasons. Aslan aka sumwun

I live in Australia and I am strickly an amateur. Blackjack is very much a part-time hobby for extra pocket money. I have no expectation to do as well all the time. I just thought if I could make a set amount each day it would be good, so I set a goal of $200 each day and stuck to it. Discipliine is the key in my case.

Do you count? What are the specifics about the games you play?

No, I am not a counter, but I do notice trends which I watch for and seem to be able to profit from on a regular basis. I am not sure why, but BJs seem to come in batches with online games. Mostly batches of 2 or 3. Just something that I have noticed.

When the cards are "truly" random I do OK. There are "a lot" of casinos that IMO are NOT "truly" random and I avoid them all now. I don't care what anyone says to the contrary.

I also avoid using bonuses, I have been stung a few times in the past using bonuses and then finding out there are all sorts of conditions attached that I didn't "notice" when depositing.

I have been playing online Blackjack for just over 8 years on and off. Prior that I played at the B&M casino here regularly when it first opened and did OK.

You sound like you are just one of the lucky ones that the odds have not caught up to yet. Figure it out. Out of the thousands who play online blackjack, odds clearly in the favor of the casino, a small subset will escape going bust and even win, at least, for a time. Odds do not mean you will lose in the short run, but they do mean you will lose in the long run. So far, your strategy, which appears to be working, has served you well, but IMHO it is not the strategy that has worked, but the fact that you have thus far been one of the lucky ones. Any further discussion of this should be in the Voodoo section where you can explore the strategies that seem to have made you a winner with professionals who can evaluate them and advise you further and in detail. You wouldn't want to continue and find that you are on a losing path, would you? Of course, you don't have to take my advice; maybe you'll continue to win. It's just that no one on this forum will give you recognition for having done so by means of skill. Or, you may have come up with real life strategies that work, other than counting-- although I must say, it will be the first time, unless the sites you play on do not employ real random shuffles and you have stumbled on a way to exploit their weakness. Just my opinion. Have a nice day and good cards to you.

Figuring 100 hands per hour playing online BJ, with 15 minute sessions of 25 hands played every day of the year in 2010 with a profit of $200 per session: 365 X $200 = $73,000. I guess you must have won 4 more bets than you lost for each 25 hand session, and that you achieved this record 365 consecutive times... quite impressive, to say the least.
