Crown/Melbourne

Hello Guys,
I've been browsing this forum for a couple of months and have finally decided to create an account. I realise that the Australian segment of forum has a tendency to be sporadic with its posts and responses, so I'm not holding out too much hope for responses but I'll give this a go anyway. I was at crown 4 days ago in the main room and they were still using shoes with a $25 minimum and a max bet of $600 ( Max of $200 per box per player and each player can play 3 boxes). I was just Wonging in and out with the count and nobody seemed to care (bear in mind this was early in a weekday so the place was far from busy), I went back yesterday to find that all of the $25 up tables on the main floor are now using CSMs. My first question is: Is there any rooms at Crown Casino which silver members can access that still have shoe games? The second being if there is a viable room is there anybody from Melbourne that would be interested in starting up a team or looking for an additional member?
Thanks,

Rory

Crown's gotten worse? SURPRISE! [/sarcasm]

That said, I think the Maple/Monte Carlo/Teak rooms (one of these is member's only, don't ask me which) still use shoes (ASM shuffled).

However, you don't get free drinks, the gaming conditions are appallingly bad, and Crown is a challenge to beat even for skilled counters. That said, the member Koz1984 is a counter that works Crown and has expressed interest on forming teams multiple times. You should talk to him about this.

Crown is an evil casino that rapes its players brutally and doesn't even lube 'em up with liquor (unless you're on the top tier of the Signature Club). I refuse to gamble there, but if you can extract money from them I wish you the best.

Last time I was there, about 2 weeks ago, there were still shoe games in the Maple and Monte Carlo rooms, free drinks in the Maple room, but you need to be a Gold Signature card holder to get free drinks in the Monte Carlo room.

Any rooms you could access as a silver member (Riverside or Teak) are pokies only, you need platinum for the Mahogany room to get to the decent games (S17).

And naturally, the games in the Mahogany room begin at $200 a hand (I think).

Crown Is EEEEVIL. I will never gamble at a Crown-owned casino.

Thanks

Thanks for the info Studio and Ausie, crown casino sucks soo bad...They really do need some competition....I was thinking maybe if I tried to play Oscars grind on baccarat or something just to get the points to get into the gold card holders room I might be able to make the money back with CCing...but then again you’re right It would be extremely hard to get away with... Also thanks for the recommendation of “Koz1984” I’ve noticed his posts I just can’t PM him yet but i should be able to soon..

Just noticed my popularity in this thread! Welcome to the forums, Rory. You don't need a gold card to access the better conditions at Crown, in fact, the Monte Carlo room (a public premium gaming area), is actually better than the Teak, IMO. The $30 Teak room tables have D9-11 restrictions, whereas the $30 tables in Monte Carlo have NO doubling restrictions. The BJ pit is also bigger, and makes Wonging in and out much easier. You don't need a Signature Club card at all. Just play in the Monte Carlo room :)

Thanks

Hey Koz!,

What an honour it is to receive a reply from you! ahaha, Does the Monte Carlo room have no CSMs? I think I might go down a bit later to check it out.

Thanks again,

Rory

None whatsoever, all the "Premier BJ" branded games never have, and I suspect, never will go to CSMs. They do have to appease their Asian cohort of gamblers somewhat, which is great for us! P.S Make one more post then PM me.
