What level are you playing on? If you're betting red, then there's no problem anywhere in town. There shouldn't be much if you're playing green at the Peppermill properties. Playing at the Nugget though is a different story. Watch out for the Russian mob there. As far as playing ratied, I wouldn't worry about it very much if you're not going to return for a couple years. There's not much in Wendover(outside of BJ) to make you want to revisit any time soon unless you're a trucker. It's in the middle of no where, 110 mi. from SLC and 400 from Reno.

What exactly you mean by this- much heat or much play?
I was talking about heat. You can play all day with chunky red. I wouldn't worry about playing rated either. Although 3 of the stores are owned by the Peppermill, apparently they share no info. with their other properties. They wouldn't take my PMill Reno card at any place in Wendover.

Do you know something I don't? Russian mob in Wendover? Please explain.
Ask our resident prehensile primate. His mug shot still appears on the back every borscht carton in town.

Now I'm even more confused. Borscht is a type of Ukrainian soup and to my knowledge doesn't come in cartons.

I've been playing Wendover for 25+ years now, 6 to 12 times a year; & have never experienced anything even resembling heat, other than that day shift boss at the Peppermill who sweats everybody & everything, including all tourists.

If you know of something dangerous going on in that town, then it's important for me to be apprised of the situation. I would tell YOU. That's one of the MAIN purposes of this web site.

I'm not saying that you ARE, but if you're just pulling my leg and talking in riddles, then that's ok. The joke's on me. I can be very gullible at times.

You need to lighten up a touch. All I'm saying is that the folks at the Nugget surveil their games more intensely that the Peppermill properties. Since you've been playing there so long I would think you'd have noticed the accents by now. I seriously doubt that your life would be in danger if they caught you counting. I personally would not like to face the ramifications of getting caught cheating there or at any other casino in Nevada.
As far as Ukrainian, yeah that's so different from Russian. Just like German is nothing like Austrian. They would never touch schnitzel in Vienna.
