Aruba vs. AC

#1
Hi, I am fairly new to blackjack (and this forum). I have only played a few times in Atlantic City. I will be traveling to Aruba in a few months and I was curious if anyone knows if the blackjack rules are similar to AC down there (such as DAS). Also, does anyone know what the table minimums typically are? Any info would be great. Thanks.

I was there almost exactly a year ago so some rules may have changed . . . compared to A.C., there were some differences, some good and some not as good.

I only played at three stores as this was more for R-n-R than anything else. The tables were all 6D, compared to the many 8D tables in A.C. Also, they were not open 24 hrs; usually opening around 4 PM. Minimums ranged from $10-50 depending on the casino. It was H17 (also different from several places in A.C.) at all tables, with very dealer-dependent pen from 65% to 80%+. Midshoe entry was permitted (better than A.C. for Wonging). DAS and DOA permitted. Also resplit aces (better than A.C.)

They used the ANHC (Aruban No Hole Card) rule, different from ENHC in that only your original wager was lost in the event of a dealer BJ after a double, split, or DAS. Surrender was not offered. Hope this helps.
