Crown Casino BJ Team

ATTENTION:

Is anyone SERIOUS about their BJ and willing to put in some time and effort to collaborate and perhaps form a team for the purpose of Wonging Crown's Monte Carlo and Maple rooms? I've tried to teach the art to several of my friends, only one of which has become truly competent. Perhaps other like minded people exist out there in Victoria who would like to get together, assess skill levels, and devise a plan to pool $ together for some team play.

Koz I wish I lived in Australia!
Dye, I think after you saw in action the relative lousy rules on offer, the monopoly mentality of the current casino chains here, with NO SURRENDER, only ENHC, with 6 or 8 decks to 75% pen - take it or leave it - you'd quickly hightail it outta this one-casino city with a 4M population. Imagine what it's like when you cannot walk across the street to another casino because, there ain't! The next closest one is about a one-hour's flight away, and what a surprise! They have the same lousy rules...:p:mad::mad::mad:

Crown is OBO, 8 decks, up to 87.5% pen.

AussiePlayer, Any start is a good start.

jnrwilliam, overall I'd suggest Crown is probably the best in terms of a counter being able to experience longevity, especially with large betting. They can absorb the heat pretty well, you won't get much attention from the pit at all. Rules aren't the best, VIP tables get 8 decks, 3:2, H17, DOA, DAS, Split to 3, no RSA. The Mahogany room offers S17, however, is difficult to access. Brisbane offers hand shuffled 6 deck games, S17, 3:2, D9-11 only, DAS, Split to 3, no RSA. Better rules, however, Crown offers up to 90% Pen, dealer dependent, of course. Pen around Australia isn't as good, in my opinion, except maybe in Tasmania. The heat there though is extraordinary. Don't expect to play long term.

hersinv, that was your first post. Ever. You can't PM unless you have made 10. Sorry to be skeptical, but may I ask what is your level of BJ skill, and how come you haven't featured on this site previously?

No need to apologise, I understand and appreciate the query within this industry. I read Blackjack Info regularly as a point of reference featuringsome interesting ideas and opinions, - appreciating it for what it is. I have also followed some of your posts and threads over several months and have understood you to be an active and eager AP within Australia.

I live and operate out of Brisbane, posting here for the first tine purely to get in contact with you - as it would prove that your post coincides with my interests to find people, like yourself at this time. I'm sure you'd understand, the circumstances for me posting here are the same as you opening the thread in the first instance, to find competent and motivated Australian counters.

My skill and knowledge of my advantage play, as well as the proficiency of the others I represent, I would describe as confident- albeit growing all the time. I have been in of practice with advantage techniques and play for almost two years.

I have to apologise myself if I sound vague, rest assured I feel I am rather open and friendly in person, however - again, as I'm sure you can understand i feel some anxiety posting about myself on this forum. I just wish to speak with you or email you. You can contact me at [email protected]

Perhaps we could set up a skype call? Or I could telephone you!

Of course, if you have any further questions or request and other details please feel free to ask.

Hey guys I got a good count at the Tasmanian game. Better catch the next boat out here. There should still be a couple decks left by the time you get here. It's BJ-2 in high limit!

Just becareful, its a criminal offense for a "partnership" to collude to bet more than the table maximum - reguardless of if its across hands. So make sure the sum of your bets for all of your group betting when spreading is less than table max. Thats the only law they use to get counters.

Interested

First learnt about this site last year and hadn't considered blackjack since until about a week ago, stumbling across this site again - hence no history.

Honestly I'm not ready yet but I am interested in your team Koz (obv don't have the 10 posts to PM).

Anything I can study in particular to fit in a place on your team ASAP?
