Bunky knows, if he says 21, bank on it.;)

Not a bad move on the casinos part, it is a responsible thing to do for the community, I applaud it.

So its better to allow adults who by that time most have kids who depend on them? who cant control there parents gambling. Then college kids who have alittle spending cash and want to go have fun with there friends at the casino for a couple hours playing tiny stakes? Yup i appluad them deciding to have dads losing the electric bill instead of them taking the booze money from college kids.

Definitely. Education is a good thing. One can learn about grammar, spelling, and most importantly, critical thinking. I'm just saying! :joker:

collegebj if the gambling age is 21 (assuming you are at least 18) then that's a violation of your constitutional rights. The casino will be discriminating against you based on your age. Same thing with alcohol, its rediculous that a 20 yr old can't drink yet he/she can go and get killed in some stupid foreign war or be allowed to marry or buy a gun.

Where in The Constitution is gambling given as a right? Should we let 3 year olds gamble and drink? There has to be some age consideration given.

Why do you paint this picture as college kids just having fun vs. adults not being able to control their behavior? Is that what you've learned in your institution of higher learning?

I'm trying to make the point that a 20 yr old which is an adult is not allowed to gamble which is rediculous. You are considered an adult at 18, that should be the cutoff.

Painting the picture that a college kid isnt responsible for others while an adult usually is. Both will have those that can and cant control there behavior.

Maybe Hope College will start a MIT-like blackjack team! They can hide card-counting devices in their wooden shoes! Go Flying Dutchmen!!
Never actually seen any wooden shoes at hope, also gv is just as conservative.

ST,
In the US today it is a great honor and privledge to go fight in a foreign war, we have had plenty to partake in since WW2, and we are very blessed that today we have at least TWO, to participate in!! :gun: Of course, that is only if you want to, you are not forced to, of course if you can't find a job, have no roof over your head, no health care, no money,,,well you just may decide joining is not such a bad affair...maybe.

That being the case, 21 year olds can be restricted from Booze and Gambling, and where this casino is located, a very smart decision.

Face it, most college kids aren't responsible period...at least when compared to older adults. Get your own damn spending money! Let dad save his for his impending retirement! And if you have to wait a year to enter a casino, so be it. Quit whining and acting like a spoiled brat.

Thats a pretty bold mark, specially when i know kids who work nearly full time while in college so they can pay for it since they have no help from there parents. Ide call that pretty responsible. I have earned my spending money from busting my ass working 4 12's every week all summer long. Think if i want i should be able to go to the damn casino if i want. They only difference is if i lose my money i cant eat so much mcdonalds next month. A grown up on the other hand cant pay for his house. Its also a bit more then a year, not that it matters as SE isnt far from here either. My point is the casino will miss out on lots of profit from the college kids. If it doesnt do well they only have them selves to blame.

College kids have no money for the casinos to profit from.

Gambling is 18 where I live, and the 18-20 year olds really do bug the piss out of me. And I am only in my mid 20s!
