Are 4 decks even used anymore?

They're unusual, but occasionally you'll still see a 4-deck game. Treasure Bay in Biloxi had one for a while, though I don't know if it's still there or not.

Canterbury Card Club

I play a 4-deck game at Canterbury Card Club here in Minnesota. There is a mandatory rake per hand ($.50 for $3-$25 bets and climbs from there), but there are a number of bonuses that make the game exciting. For example, triple 7's pays 2 to 1, as does 678 and any suited blackjack. Six card hands are instant winners. In addition, three consecutive blackjacks pays $500. I actually hit this last night! :D Amazingly, another guy at the table had hit four in a row a couple hours earlier for $1500 (any additional blackjack after three in a row is an extra $1000).

All in all, maybe not the most profitable game (the rake tends to catch up with you), but fun and entertaining nonetheless.

Where is Tuscany? I'm not familiar with that one.
I believe it's in Italy, but I could be wrong. I remember one Seinfeld episode where Jerry wanted to buy a place in Tuscany, and I remember a italian man selling it to him

Its funny that our geography is based on a Seinfeld episode. You're right though, Tuscany is in Italy.

There's some 4deck games in Canada that I know of as well but I don't consider them any better than most 6deck games with good penetration.

C.S.M.'s always use FIVE (5) decks, but it matters little as it may as well be 10 decks.

Some rural Native American and Midwest casinos use 4 decks.

Problem is you need a Dog Sled and snow shoes with ice cleats to get to them!

Enough said.

Get with the times CP, we use snowmobiles to get to our casinos now.

Calgary and Edmonton in Alberta, Canada both offer 4 deck games. Both cities have International Airports accessible by Boeing and Embraer aircraft not only skidoo's anymore. Star Alliance has several flights per day into both cities. IAH, SFO and LAX have a couple flights per day into Calgary. ORD is a main connector to Edmonton.

Really ?

I have been to the Big B at least once or twice a year since they opened their doors under Steve Wynn.

I have never seen a 4 deck game there or anywhere else in L.V. for that matter.

You and InPlay have voiced your skepticism in the past. I not only gave you the casino, but also the pit and the exact tables within the pit where I found this game, so you're free to check it out and let me know what you find.

Perhaps they only have the game on weekday mornings between 10am and 11am. Or maybe the pit ran out of decks that one weekend I was there and they ran 4D instead of 6D games. Or maybe, as I pointed out, it's not where you'd expect there to be blackjack tables to be and you've just never noticed.
