I have been reading various posts about these blackjack video machines...some seem countable...others not...i live damn close to the casino, so if counting is possible I would love to go there to practice before hitting up FW.

Anyone given these a look over?

No, but if you can tell us the type of game, the maker and describe the rules and where the shuffle point is, we'll be able to help you.

Ok, here is the scoop...
6 Decks (about 4.5-5 pen)
It does shuffle! (has an lcd that looks like a shoe and seems to go down accordingly)
1 card after ace split
3 splits max
dd on only 9,10,11
Late surrender

The maker was digi something...digideal? not 100% sure. The lcd in front of you has everyone else's cards so it will be easy to count, wont have to look at everyone's screen. Im going to go check the house advantage with those rules...i know the dd rules suck : | Any thoughts?

Interesting. What about doubling after split? None?

I reckon around a 0.43% house edge off the top. But if it's really dealing 4.5/6, and you can spread with impunity (can you join mid-shoe? sit out hands?) it might be beatable. What are the bet limits?

Make sure that it pays 3:2 for BJs too. The machines are notorious for using tricks like "2 for 1" instead of the traditional 3:2 payouts.

The rules actually aren't that bad as most of your profit from doubling comes from those doubles anyway. Late surrender is great. DAS is important.

Still if its an honest game and has pen like that, and has wide limits it's certainly beatable. The higher speed of a digital game will increase profit.

Never said u couldn't double after split.

It does pay 3:2 BJs (checked that but i forgot to post :p)

Bet limits are $5-$500 or $10-$500. The people they have working there seem to have no clue about blackjack...they just stand around talking about life with the other workers and pay no attention to the game. They only listen when u cashout or buy in.

You can join midshoe, I just sat there for a bit today watching the "shoe" and counting down the deck and no one said a thing...i wasn't getting ready to wong in but i was just seeing if i got any heat from sitting there...got nothing
You can sit out whenever you want.

All right, sold! I'm going to go check it out.

You realize that if it is as good as described, I'm going to do to it what a frat boy does to a drunk chick he finds passed out in his room, right? (Sorry, those disturbing analogies always come to mind when I hear about a game I can get in and out of any time I want.)

I'll let you know how it goes.

This makes me a little bit suspect.

Why would the payout percent depend on the bet in a BJ game, as it would for slots? (Assuming they're talking about the same machines)

All that was for ###, I'd assume ### is about the same though I have never been there.

Those payouts are for the slot machine blackjack crap...they have had those on their site way before the video blackjack tables came in.

Atomic are you really heading there tonight? lol

I sort of figured they were for BJ-themed slots.

You might want to edit your posts and remove the location before a the game is burned out entirely. (Assuming it's a real opportunity.)

Alright...I was dying to play...so I went and sat with 20 units....kept a nice solid count was up 10 shitty 5$ units ; p

then people sat down....it is tough with people there because you only see quick blips of their hand if they act fast...and you do not see their last card if they take a bust card so you have to glance at their screen (not that anyone is paying attention) while they were there i lost count....stupidly was betting a progression (really dump with only 150$ on the table) got down to 38$ or so and decided to stop that foolishness :joker:

kids left...away i went with counting....had a nice +8 or so count and made it back to 30 units....held strong there for a while and the neck shoe went into the -5 range and i called it a night.....

not bad for first time counting ;D

One thing that pissed me off about these tables (other than the fact I was not skilled enough to count when a bunch of people were ahead of me :flame:) was that the "Split 10s" was a crock of ****. you had to have matched 10s in order to do it.....what does this do for house advantage? I think there were 5 or so times would have split with a plus count and dealer with a 5 or 6...:whip:

Now thinking back I had such a nice positive count and I spread like a pussy....With no heat i could have jacked it way up...didn't help my session bank was almost zilch due to the fact this was a test run...next time I will come more prepared....

What do you think tho...sit down and have them put like 300 or 400$ and then bet 5$ a hand lol....if anything would get their attention it might be that...

I wasn't there. But I'll tell you the best way to attack the game after I see it.

You don't think you would recognize me? Come on, how many monkeys do you usually see playing in a casino in Rhode Island?
