Linked slot machines?

#1
So little while ago while playing, i was talking to my favorite dealer, who i get along with well ( she reminds me of my mother). Anyways i was joking about a big slot payout i wish i could hit. Its in the mid 6 digits. Thats when she said the larger slots in the house(which is kinda small, indian casino) with the larger progressive jackpots are linked to other smaller casinos. This seems kinda weird to me.

Is this correct or was she misinformed? I can only see a ploppy playing this slot for hours then seeing the jackpot disappear with no one around him hitting it.

There are many slots that are linked for jackpots. Mega Bucks, Monopoly,
any of the Big Event types, pretty much any video slot that offers a huge jackpot.

Ive never really looked at one closely, but shouldnt this be made perfectly clear to everyone? Seems like anyone playing might wanna know someone somewhere far away could hit it at any time.

Your odds of hitting it doesnt change. Just how fast the jackpot grows. Why should anyone complain about that?

Most of those jackpots are paid out over twenty years with no cash option so its even worse than it seems. Win a million dollars and end up with $35,000 a year for 20 years. Think of what $35,000 will buy in 20 years.

I would immediately sell the annuity to J.G. Wentworth. 877-CASH-NOW!

That place you play at a year ago had a bank of VP that had one progressive tied to only those 16 machines and it was an unbelievable situation.

There is a slot bank that is just as good.:cool:

Machines can be very good,,can.............

i believe it still does if im thinking of the same ones. The bank is still there i know that. IDK if its still linked. The casino has pretty good games all around in my opinion for how small and out of the way it is.

I know that odds dont change but still i would be mad if i was playing a slot with a higher then average(for that slot) jackpot and it suddenly disappeared with no one winning it. I can see someone who didnt know they were linked thinking they were cheated.
