Place is getting worse and worse, tables almost all the time 25, you can go there on fri sat and sun any time and its $25 almost everywhere exept those electronic bj games where they put $15. If your wong out for a while the pit boss might tell you to leave the place or hes going to call the security !!! Mean floor people who always look how much money you have on the table.
One time i had a little bit over 700 on the table and i wanted to grab my chips and leave and the dealer was like( wait you cant just take the chips and leave, i have to color in them first) i told her politely that, i can do anything i wanna do with my chips and its not her money but mine, she of course got pisst off.. Even the pen got worse over time, im suprised why they do this cuz i see 85% of people losing all the time. Hopefully they gonna change something really soon otherewise people gonna feel like they are being ripped off and they are !!!!!!!!

I have not had any of those negative experiences at Parx. The pen is basically set because of the little notch in the shoe. Maybe the dealer wanted to color you up so you werent taking 28 of the green chips (figuring $700/$25) and she had to have more brought in. My last 4 sessions have been winning (3 at $500 and 1 at $300) in short time (3 hours or less). I felt no "heat" and most dealers have been friendly and the pit bosses, well pit bosses. And you gotta love the no, no-mid-shoe entry.

I usually play on weekday mornings or overnights. I always wong out at TC -1 on the electronic games and spread from 15 to 2 hands of 75 each.

You got to love the types of ploppies who play at Parx, at least during the times I usually play. It attracts the degenerate gamblers who have nothing else to do with their money than lose it gambling. I have encountered the worst players there, players who split every pair no matter what, players who double down on a hard 12, players who stand on single digit totals, players who use the martingale, and much more. They hate it when I wong in and out from 0 to 2 hands and make certain index plays. In a way, my playing style increases the house edge for the ploppies since I play 2 hands when the count is high and 0 when it's low. I always seem to ruin the "flow" of the cards according to the ploppies. I could care less about the ploppies, let them leave if they don't like the way I play. Parx makes most of its money from the addicted gamblers who sit at the tables for hours until they lose their money, several times a week. Hence, the $15 minimums most times, they want to squeeze the most they can out of them.

I don't play blackjack rated because there are no worthy comps. The food options are very limited (there's more food choice available at the 7-11 down the street) so food comps are next to worthless. There's no hotel and they don't give free slot play to table players. Plus I don't want them to see that I took over $1000 from them since table games opened. It's interesting that I make more money counting cards than the dealers make.

Avoid it on weekday evenings and weekend afternoons and evenings. The limits are raised then and it's hard to get a seat even at a $25 table. The crowd at those times is much more decent (people looking to just have a good time, not the degenerate gamblers).

Hopefully the opening of Sugar House will provide some more competition to Parx.

That's even worse than the usual. I have seen someone double 12 exactly once in my life-over 20 years ago. A few hands later she split a crappy pair against the dealer's 10.
Of course I don't play at the tourist clogged LV Strip so these plays might be more common than I think.

Overall I enjoy Parx and PA favorable rules
6 and 8Deckers DAS DAC LS and mid shoe entry alloweed.

There are a lot of ploppies but thats part of the fun last week had a guy split 10s TC at -4 then he doubled on 9 vs dealer 10 TC then was -2 so they were not index plays they were suicidal.

All in all i prefer parx to anything in AC

Does anybody know if there are any DD games in PA or AC

rabbit, it sounds like you got off on the wrong foot. I played Parx, and although I lost, I liked the rules far better than AC. Why did they threaten to put you out of the casino for wonging out? Is it obvious that you are wonging out on negative counts? If so, you need to cool it. Also, why make such a big deal over taking your chips with you--it only serves to call attention to yourself, maybe adding to the pit's desire to get rid of you. There's money to be made there--play under the radar, or if you make a quick hit, don't stay there to do it again and again on the same day. The law is undecided in PA what they can do to you insofar as trespassing and banning actions are concerned. Also, you can rathole chips as you go along, making it no problem to color in your remaining chips. These pit people are just trying to keep track of their greens and blacks, as instructed. Don't let them get under your skin--keep your cool and take their money home with you. ;) If at all possible, it is better to make them happy to see you again. Then you know you are doing a good job of snowing them. Heat, you can do without.

If you go to Parx during the day, you will find way more $15 tables than $25 tables. I have never seen anyone getting heat for jumping in and out (except from other players). Coloring up chips is the norm, I have seen the pit ask a player to keep their red chips instead of coloring to green or black because the dealers rack had no room for any more red. Go back for a second visit now that they've gotten their act together.
