Mt. Airy has some issues both with management and clientele.

Being Mt. Airy does not allow backlining, the fact that they were trying to do it indicates to me that they were really trying to do something else. What was the race of these individuals?

I've seen the PC's hawking blacks at the BJ tables. Maybe it was because the bet-capping team at Mohegan Pocono was blacks, maybe it's just ordinary racism, or maybe there was really some reason to watch these individuals.

Be aware that in the age of cell phones it does no good to watch out for being followed out of the casino. The guy who has picked you as a target is inside the casino and doing nothing but talking on the phone to his partner in the parking lot, who will probably never enter the casino but who will be your assailant. These people have also been known to follow targets many miles from the casino, stage a minor car accident in an isolated area (real easy to do in the Poconos) and rob the target on the roadway.

In AC I've allowed a non-playing pest to remain at the table because he was blocking ploppies out of a seat and keeping the game fast, but most of the time you want to get rid of them, because you have enough to keep track of without watching for who is trying to steal your chips or pick your pocket. Somebody standing over your shoulder, then reaching into your play area, panhandling you or otherwise interacting with you is someone you want to get rid of ASAP.

AutoMonkey is dead-on with this statement. I talked about this in a post a long time ago about witnessing people lurking about and watching the activity in the casino and "casing things out" as they spend a lot of time on their cellphones. I have also been "tailed" by people that were obviously up to no good. There are organized teams/groups of people positioned strategically in places in AC looking for "crimes of opportunity" to arise that maintain effective communications with one another via cellphone. Spotters pick out viable targets and their co-horts are around to follow through. Spend enough time in these places and you can pick them right out.

self protection

What are the gun laws in AC? I know it's not like in the south where you can pretty much rock a 223 in the back window gun rack and concealed carry permits are optional, but as for self protection what laws fall on the honest citizens side? I believe in tribal casinos since it's federal land it's the same as taking a gun into a bank or post office but what about state owned or privately owned establishments?
