In some casinos, the cards used are some what 'not normal'. I am told this is a protection for the player's benefit against casino cheating. Casinos do it either voluntarily or because it is required by the government.

I am sure other AP have noticed this but I can't find any discussion on it.

I have developed a system to exploit the situation by simple counting, but it hasn't really been successful. Where I tried, we keep getting half shoe. I was hoping the casino will analyze our play and work out big bets are only very slightly correlated with high true counts. Hence conclude that we are not counting. Maybe the casino thinks we are shuffle tracking or ace sequence or something.

In BJ, my system profit is on par with straight counting. But the exploit can be applied to other games as well. I found one casino where every game used this 'not normal' cards, except casino war. If I can play casino war, my edge would be >5% for 40% of the time. So I suspect that casino has already been burned before.

Anyway if you know what I am talking about, can you PM me. Or if it's not worth keeping private, we can discuss it here openly. I want to know if this kind of play has already been done and casinos are aware of it.

Can you expand on what you mean by cards being "not normal"??

It is the cards you're referring to, and not the way they are dealt or shuffled?
