Hi everyone

Stumbled across this forum. Just thought I would say hi.

I mostly haunt politics forums and the javascript newsgroup.

Blackjack is a fun game. I spent days at a time playing it when I was younger and much 'stupiderer' than I am now.

Everything in moderation, I guess.

I look forward to returning to the casino later this year and once again face my old nemesis in mortal combat. Actually, thank God BJ is not mortal combat, because I would have been dead 100 times over.

Looks like you guys have a dandy forum going here.

Now what on earth does that mean???
Well what I meant was playing blackjack for 20 hours straight is not so smart.

Present company excluded, of course.

I got the impression dgun thinks there is no such thing as an advantage player.
Well, while there is no doubt that creating a slight advantage for the player is mathematically possible, I'm just not so sure that in today's game that maintaining that advantage over multiple sessions over time is 'humanly' possible.

With that said, a decent count trumps a flat betting basic strategy player, regardless if the 'advantage player' is able to stay on top of their game.

Personally, I always enjoyed playing the blackjack tournaments. Never won one (damnit!) but I made it in the money several times.

The other players were always puzzled when I made the minimal bet for the first 20 hands of a round. Of course by the 21'st hand only a few others remained at the table.

Play as a "BJ Warrior", if you dare
You got a black belt in blackjack, I guess. ;)
