If you are suspected of cheating at play, I think that would constitute a crime and they could detain you....of course the lawyer for the casino would have to prove they had very probable grounds for suspecting you of cheating.
Yeah, they detain cheaters all the time. Stores are allowed to detain shoplifters, but it's not an extra crime to run from a security guard like it is to run from a cop.

Here it is

I got the perfect scam you could try but I would never try it myself. Buy in at a table and play a shoe or two, make sure it's by the isleway. You have about a little more than a handful of chips sitting by your spot walk around the casino for a while, go to the bathroom then wander back after one or two shoes. Get on your cell phone and walk right up grab your chips and start hauling ass down the aisle in a hurry like you stole them. This will work if you change your shirt and put on a baseball hat on as to hide your identity. Security will tackle your ass and after the dust settles you will have your false arrest suit. blackchipjim

Haha! Brilliant! Then tell them you just got a call that your wife was having a baby, so you were tearing ass to get to the hospital.

What can they do if you are caught cheating on a cruise ship? DAM! the thought of one alternative is scary. SPLASH!!! I saw a guy slip a $25 chip under a $5 chip after the point was made. He got caught ,but played dumb and said he did not realize the point had been made. Nothing happened to him ,so what would happen if he got caught in Vegas or AC? POGO

Actually, medical experiments offer really good pay. I know a guy that is a professional guinea pig. Gets free meals and stuff, too.

The point is to avoid bodily harm, but make it look like you were harmed.
I take it all this talk is for the humor. It's not an advantage play. It's tantamount to cheating. Maybe it would be hard for them to prove it, but that doesn't alter the fact that you are trying to scam the casino out of it's money, and there are laws on the books. Years ago I worked for Sears. A paint can was left out on the floor. A pregnant lady apparently tripped over it and was lying on the floor with her friend at her side. Her friend kept calling for an ambulance. Turned out these two had pulled the same scam at another store in hope of a fat settlement.

I think its the penultimate AP now... perhaps you just use reverse psychology and tell security "You will NOT take ME in that backroom. ... I;m NOT going to STAY in this backroom. ... You cannot and will not hold me! etc.

How long do they need to hold me for me to make a case for kidnapping? zg

Scams a way of life

If you think that scams are new to american bussinesses think again. The public and private companies are well aware of most of the scams committed against them on the whole. I can't begin to tell you some of them but a professional makes a living off of them. blackchipjim

I've been through a couple lawsuits. It's almost not worth it. Your best bet here is to go after the government. A casino will tie you up in court for years without any settlement offers. They don;t care what the public knows.

The government on the other hand will offer a settlement once you make it past all the motions to dismiss your complaint. By settling out of court, they can hind all the facts from the public and get no bad press or flack from the general public.
