Snowstorm possible in Atlantic City this weekend

#1
In my past experiences it's always been great to play in AC when there's a snowstorm on a weekend. The tables are empty and there are enough dealers working to keep most of the tables open. The only downside is walking in the snow to go from one store to another.

There's a snowstorm predicted to hit AC this weekend.

Yessirrreee Bob! Snow God really blesses APs with a great opportunity to make some profits. For example, because of bad weather condition, an AC casino offers in its highroller pit:
a) three $25 tables of 6deckers,
b) with regular AC BJ rules with s17!
c) with the pen of 5.125 of 6 decks dealt out! and
d) other goodies!

Oh Maker of Snow, please keep the snow coming

AC is deserted without a snowstorm these days.
Dito that. XYZ casino has hired 10 "go-go-girl-dealers" to lure suckers to its pit of 10 tables of 8deckerrs, but only 4 guys were there gambling. The math speaks for itself: 4 seats were occupied out of 70 seats at that bj pit...That casino will lose its shirts!

No. It's the ##### Casino:laugh:.

Iceberg had sunk the Titanic, and bad management and snow storms will sink AC

Update... on that ##### Casino

A lesson can be learned by other AC casinos from that aforementioned #### Casino. By offering $25 6deckers in the highroller pit, this Casino has drawn in extra patrons into its previously-empty-pit; thus in return, it pops up its revenues. Here's an example... a gambler had played at a $25 table in that pit. First he bought in $500 cash and lost all the chips. Then he took out a $5,000 marker. Unfortunately for him he got bad runs, and he drew more markers up to about $15,000. He had attempted to dig himself out of the hole. The hole got deeper and deeper... I don't need to tell you how much he lost at the end, but that casino was a winner for offering the $25 6deckers in its highroller pit. Hopefully more AC casinos will copy-cat that #### Casino's smart strategy.

Bad casino management is universal. AC is not going anywhere, much less will it sink. People's penchant for gambling is being whetted to fever pitch by the surrounding states. Many surrounding state locals will see AC as the longed for pilgrimage to Mecca -- the Holy Land -- Vatican City. It has more to offer in ploppies' eyes than local venues do, and Las Vegas, even more so. Much more likely, some casinos outside of AC, LV and Reno, will find themselves in bankruptcy.

The larger gambling towns are examples of the burning log effect -- that is, if you put a number of logs together on the fire they will burn all the more brightly as they feed off each other. Just so, casinos in the larger gambling towns cast a larger glow and attraction to gamblers everywhere. Combine that with the largest and most lavish complexes, the best food and room comps, the best entertainment, and a perfect spot for national conventions and business conferences, and you have a formula for continued success.

South, I'll be.

Update...

AC gets no white stuff on the ground, but it's almost dead anyway in term of business wise. It's so bad that ##### Casino turns its entire highroller pit into all $25-6decker-pit!

A tip for the survivor of the fittest:

To casino operators, turn your highroller pit into greenies. Why waste your manpower in the pit? For example, Taj's $100-highroll-pit gets zero gamblers in there, and all dealers just stood there like dummies. On the other hand, ##### Casino's "highroller pit" are at least partially filled with paying patrons. Adapt & survive. Or refuse to adapt, and die like dinosaurs.

South, thanks for your invitation to meet, but I only meet other APs accidentally, i.e., if you sit at my table, and I realize that you're a legit AP from the way you've played, then I'll present myself. Thereafter we will do dinners, and share our war stories. I look forward rubbing elbows with you at bj tables.

Update on highroller pits...

Wow... even the Almighty Taj Casino have gotten off its high horse and dropped its $100 tables to $50 in its highroller pit. Thanks goodness to competitions...Pretty soon we will see more $25 & $50 tables in other casinos' highroller pits. Hmm... the whole survivor of the fittest stuff finally kicks in, and Taj's new management finally acts in accordance with the law of the jungle... adapt or perish. Kudos to Taj.

Aslan, "Titanic" is a hint for bjCC. I hope he knows which casino I've implied by now.;)

I swung by yesterday and it is absolutely dead in AC. I counted at one joint, 4 open BJ tables, all $25 and less. SB's HL game was $25 but pen wasn't good.

Tico, Taj even had a $25 6 deck game on the main floor.
