I heard that the special features section of the movie "21" is supposed to teach you how to count cards and to become an advantage player. I don't know how good it is because I haven't seen the DVD. Watching the movie in theaters doesn't really teach you how to count but the special features might.

I watched the special features a while back. If I remember correctly, it just tells you the values of cards. And to divide for the true count. Doesn't go very in depth at all.

Advantage player

This special feature on the DVD tells you to learn basic stragedy and than it explains the high low count. It tells you that 2-6 is a plus 1 7,8,9 is 0 and
10, aces is a minus 1 bet big when the count is plus 10 or greater.

yeah I laughed at that special features part. I work near a BJ game and I cant tell you how many people tell me they learned to count from that movie and are now goin to beat the game. One kid even told the dealer and the floor he was gonna count the cards, he proceeded to get about eyelevel with the table and use his fingers and mouthed the values out loud. This lasted al of 5 seconds before he lost the count while trying to play his hand. I about fell over in laughing when he finally lost all of his money and stormed out of the casino yelling at his girlfriend. 21 the movie has brought me more entertainment now then it ever did in the theatre.

lol, that movie had so many high counts, +15 or higher is very rare.

another thing that pissed me off is the time lapse scene where ben is sitting at one table for hours... pretty much defeats the purpose of a big player :joker::joker:

Well, maybe he had a true count of +15 really early in a 863-deck shoe, ever think about that?

Didn't think so.

I really liked the movie-but NO the special features section is not designed to teach you how to count-but it is fun to watch also.

All I want to know is "Who the hell is Ida"?
