Thinking about a trip to Foxwoods. Never been there. Will be bringing wife and two teenage kids. Any hotel recommendations, either at Foxwoods or nearby where family will have something to do?
Thanks.

21-

Just got back from a 6-day trip to New England, where we camped every night but the last...that being in CT near the two biggie casinos there. We just stayed in the Super 8 in Groton, which was about 15 minutes from the Mohegan Sun. It was $55 with tax on Sunday night, but did the trick.

I imagine some locals may be able to give you more info, but there were several motels at that exit...right off of I-95.

good luck

The only place in the area that is family-friendly is Mystic. There's the historic seaport, and the aquarium which is fun for both adults and kids. Plenty of food and lodging there.

That was a nice town...hit that on Monday before heading home. Wish we had more time to go into the Seaport, which is like an outdoor museum.

I stayed at a Microtel in Uncasville last July. I think it was closer to Mohegan Sun and had shuttles to there. Don't know if it also had shuttles to Foxwood. Didn't see much for kids & family entertainment.
