punta cana

Funny you should ask. Just got back from Punta Cana and stayed at the Majestic Colonial Resort. They had a casino on site. Not favorable. 7 decks, burn 5 cards after each shuffle, cut about 3 to 3.5 decks off, late surrender allowed, DAS, S17, dealer does not check for natural on 10 or ace upcards. Also 5 minimum and 100 maximum bet. I got lucky over the 6 nights and won a few bucks.
One night I taxied over to Hard Rock Cafe Casino which is one of the biggest in Punta Cana. Six deck, H17, no surrender. I actually won there too. It was good trip but unexpected. Not all but most resorts have casinos.

Good luck

When I was at the Bavaro in Punta Cana in March of 2010, the cards looked like they hadn't been changed in about a month. I didn't notice anything suspicious while counting which would indicate to me that any cards were missing, but I did wonder. Had some winning sessions and some losing ones, but lost overall. Most of the dealers did not seem capable of deliberately mis-dealing. I did, however, encounter the fastest dealer I have ever seen.
