best counting locations in Europe

#1
Hello to everyone,

I have been searching and using (not really actively :) ) the board for quite a while and also looked into some of the discussions about conditions in Europe and so far I couldn't really make out a place where card counting would be really profitable to practice.

Anway. I have been doing counting for some time now (mostly with simulations and programs and only seldomly in real life conditions - but I have) and I am capable of doing the Hi/Lo and the Zen Count.

Now I want to kind of take it up as a hobby. I have about 100k € aside for it as a bankroll and I wanna spend an entire weekend with counting about once a month. So I am basically looking into taking weekend trips.

Now for the location. I am based in Southern Germany, but I have a car and flying is also ok with me, so I am wondering which would be the best location to visit for these weekend trips (really anywhere in Europe would be great). I really hope some of the more experienced guys on here can help me out.

Thank you so much in advance

Welcome to the forum.
Firstly I would suggest getting REAL experience playing under casino conditions and seeing how you cope with counting.
Start with a small spread. Even though you have a big bankroll- Be confident in your skills first.
I believe there are some ok shops in Germany to practice at.
There are plenty of profitable places to play at in Europe but I`m not going to give you a map. Do some research and that will already point you in the right direction.
Good luck!

Thank you very much for the welcome and the reply.
Of course I would start with a small spread, everything I have done so far was as low as possible, it was more about experience than about profit. Also I need to try if I can cope with counting numerous hours a day for 2/3 days in a row.

As for Germany, the penetration is pretty good most places, but the unfavourable rules I have encountered make it pretty bad in my eyes (Double only 9/10/11 eg - correct me if I am wrong). Austria was pretty good, as they play very nice rules, but they started using shuffling machines quite a while ago, so that doesn't really work out.

From what I have read and found so far Eastern Europe would be the best concerning pen and even heat with pretty decent rules, but some people suggest, theymight cheat or play short decks in some casinos.

I will keep on looking and collecting experiences though, I do it mostly for fun anyways, I kinda like it (it gets a little dull after a while, but if I can start getting a little profit, that would be even better).

Thanks again
Cheers

Forum on paroli.de is always a good source if you want something to laugh, as most often talk about their roulette betting systems, and number predictions, and spotting sequences and stuff.

More funnily if you ask how much of an advantage they have with their imaginary tools and if it is sufficient to beat their very real house edge, the answers are hilarious.
It seems the most easy game attracts the most dumbest people.

The last time I played Roulette I made three figures in an hour pretty much hitting my EV. But it was an almost mental promotion, and the gameplay was mind-blowing boring.

Thanks tezzadiver, will do. In the meantime I'll keep on researching and playing :)

Hallo Elhom,

Klar, in Deutschland geht kaum noch was...

MangoJ, I am also not the biggest fan of this website, but some things they write are ok. In general not the best though... Which one would you recommend? I feel pretty happy here actually, especially the forum is great.

Thanks to all of you

caphal--------- if you know BJGold forum, you will know that there are
good conditions in casinos in Tcechien near the German border.

My apologies. I thought you were refering to the website itself, which is no doubt pretty good, but I did not know there was a forum.
Even after revisiting the site today, I could not find it, do you have a link to that please? That would be great.

The only thing on BJGold, which I don't entirely agree with, that he focuses on the KO so much, which I don't think as too great of, especially in comparison to the Zen, which he is also using.

I have found that to be true though, in general if you go east, there is pretty good conditions.

Thanks for the advice

Oh yeah, one more question:

Does anyone of you know where in Europe I could play single or double deck games? I couldn't really find anything.
It would be much appreiated, but I guess not everyone would necessarily share this info :)

Thanks anyways

I have only heard of one pitch game being recently offered in Europe (unverified) and apparently it didn't last long.

Never say never though.

I played one a few years back. The place was run by someone who likes trying out new things.... I believe it was SD for a short while, then DD.
