Positive Energy
As a counter I understand and respect the math and stats. But doesn't a positive, happy, upbeat energy with good people at the table really make (or at least seem to make) the hands go your way more often?
Haven't you guys ever seen the Secret lol? :D

Positive energy does help you to think straight, whereas a negative atmosphere has led many an otherwise good AP to make unwise choices, for instance, by chasing his money by upping his bet to an unrealistic size in a positive count. When you think everything is going to go downhill it generally does, sort of like a self-fulfilling prophecy. Tip: Don't play tired, don't play drunk, and don't play when something else is on your mind. AP play requires your full and undivided attention. I know what I'm talking about because I have broken all these rules.

I think so. At least I know I hate playing tired because I am emotionally more vulnerable lol. When rested, I'm happier and can endure longer losing streaks before I break like a little girl (Bob Dylan lol) and bet crazy lol.
And also I'm usually much nicer, to a point, to idiots commenting on my poor play or dealers that blow by me once lol.
I don't think one could put a "math value" on equanimity. But it's tangible anyway I'd say lol.

Nahhh - I don't believe that much in really silly stuff like Vulcan Mindmelds
But, as has been obvious to me for a long time, we clearly are twin sons of different mothers
Which, I guess, makes you in turn a triplet-twin-brother to The Wise One by yet a third mother since I think once told him the same thing
OK - Vulcan mind-melds are becoming more believable by the second
