Ballys AC now has H17 games

While going through AC the last couple of days, I admired the new felt on some of the Ballys BJ tables. Then I noticed they were now H17 games :eek:

It's been 8D H17 for a while at Wild West and Claridge, but now the main Ballys is going there, too.

And Showboat. Looks like all of the HET properties are going to H17. That stinks. HET stinks. Still playable, but less profitable.

Showboat cut the number of table games in half, replaced them with more slots, and went H17 on BJ about 6 months ago. The evil empire's view of the future - machines...

Yes, of course. Casinos are all about reducing labor costs especially in NJ where labor doesn't come all that cheap. They don't even have to buy the machines, they just lease them.

The only problem is, I think they might be starting to saturate the slot market. Machines don't make any money if no one is playing them. Same for BJ tables, but as we know the tables in AC are usually packed full, while slots never are.

It's not helping that PA has slot parlors that are jam-packed as well. Perhaps the trend will reverse...more table games. Doubtful, but maybe.
