"golden touch"

#1
Will sim software simulate the "golden touch" counting procedure? That is counting 2-6 and subtracting the number of hands to create an unbalanced running count. Does this method yield a smaller advantage than other methods such as hi-lo? They have recently publicized their method so I don't expect this is any big secret.

Thanks,

Some sim-ware can, and resultantly GT and its free counterpart 'OPP' have been exposed as being vastly inferior to the simplest expressions of HiLo. zg

Thanks for the info - I had not seen the opp information you referenced. I was sure this had to be a weak counting method. At least Michael Shackleford posted the advantage (disadvantage) for his wizard's A-5 count
recently on his wizard of odds site.

golden touch vs ko

I thought I'd add my two cents to the the equatiion of the golden touch counting. I have been practicing along side the ko count on the 678 software that I installed awhile back on my computer and have mixed results. I have used the golden touch count in casinos in the east with results that I can only explain as still testing it out. I had two losing sessions that were more of just not catching the cards that just about everyone else was at the time.My last session using the gt system seem to work pretty well considering my trip bankroll was really under what it should be. I will be using the gt system for the next three months and will get back to you how well or how bad it's working. blk chp jm..

u know what sux about all this? a few sessions dont mean jack.. neither do a few 100 sessions.. only computers and math can tell you how it will work, not actual testing.. you can easily make up your own system and claim it works by running a sim of 2000 hands over and over until it produces a result you want (which shudnt take long as 2000 hands should not knock out a lot of the fluctuation)
